I remember listening to this album for the first time. It was hot off the press. I had my Walkman and kicked it on as my flight to Florida was leaving the ground.
Ha, I think this was my 3rd CD. Popped it in for the 4hr drive to San Antonio!
Friend of mine says he was at the beach with a Walkman. Just when he was falling asleep he hears “psst, hey, come on man, wake up.” (intro to “The Dream is Over”). And the rest is history.

Schöner Versuch und wirklich toll gespielt und auch schöner Ton/Klang. Aber es ist leider/ zum Glück niemandem möglich Mr. van Halen auch nur annähernd zu kopieren. Aber es ist schön, dass ihm gefühlt jeder Gitarrist auf Erden den verdienten Tribut zollt.

It was perfect. But the one thing that made it better than any of the other P.C. covers was the drill. You nailed the drill parts with perfect synchronicity. Nicely done
Set aside that this is just about as SPOT ON as you're ever gonna hear. This guy is so good it's scary.......but I also notice he's covering a few Sammy Hagar songs ......and the interesting thing is found in how it's easy to see through his playing why Ed was so into playing with Sam before it all went bad between them. The interaction between a vocalist with actual range in his voice and the crazy range of sounds Ed can get out of a guitar is highlighted perfectly in this song. This cover gives you an up close look at it that you really don't get by just listening to the recordings. Love Dave when he was in the band but really this a whole other level of awesome and it's easy to see why Ed was inspired to go this direction. Too bad it ended as it did. Sam, Mike and a drummer familiar with the music could recreate it with this guy for sure. This dead on. Ed is replaceable from what I see and hear.

While it is obvious Lee is very talented, there is NO replacing EVH. If you cannot hear the difference then you are not familiar with the rock world's Mozart...EVH
