It’s already frustrating when they can’t like watch a video of someone playing an instrument. Like yeah it’s okay if they don’t get the valve presses right, but like all they had to do was look at a person play the French horn to realize how they hold it. It’s incredible frustrating when they don’t do that. But honestly it’s looney tunes so they probably just did that on purpose.
The weird thing is, the first time I ever went for a classical music concert, the horn players in the orchestra *were* playing with the bells facing the audience, a lot like bugs bunny but it was resting in their lap. I have no idea why they did that. For that matter, I don't get why players don't do it more often. It's not like most pieces require hand-stopping.
@@ruanpingshan in short, the right hand in the bell alters the color of the sound (the tone quality), alters the pitch (pretty important as it allows the player to adjust intonation without having to use the embouchure to do it), and it (and this is hard to explain and involves some physics & acoustics) makes the notes in the high register more secure, easier to hit accurately.
@@microwave_overlord Used is definitely the way to go if you aren't going to be making money back on the horn. I got a double horn for $600 online, and it seems like there's a lot more in that price bracket if you temper your expectations.
There's no mouthpiece He is holding it god awfully wrong Music looks like it was made for piano He's blowing into it so wrong There's not even valves half of the time Other half he's just holding tubing *This hurts to watch*
French horn player here: Of course the normal way of playing the horn shown at 0:14 is correct, but there is also the instruction "bells up" which means to face the bell outwards towards the audience. Still not quite the same as what Bugs Bunny is doing but closer.
probably because it’s really time-consuming to try and animate how the instrument is played, since posture and hand placement are hard to get right (i think), especially when it’s a hard piece the character is playing - i’m guessing it’s more time-consuming when non-musicians usually don’t pay attention to it which in this case, i’m assuming is a good amount of people who watch looney tunes
As a trombonist learning French horn I feel this on so many different levels
Woah, you’re learning both? That’s so cool and good luck!!
As just a trombonist (who is close friends with a couple of horns), I cried inside
I also play both
the fact im a french horn learning trombone lmao
Samee😂
How did they even mess this up..
That's why I'm saying
He’s not even pressing any valves
My guy it’s a joke. Obviously they know how it’s structured (and therefore played) if they have the valves drawn in.
@@hotpotato5587 That's a very strange joke to make, in my opinion, but comedy is subjective. Thanks for letting me know

As a French horn valve I can confirm

Damn, I am so glad I play an easy to animate instrument and don’t have to deal with these cartoon interpretations
lucky 😢
@@TeddyG221 ahah! What instrument do u play?
what do you play?
@@itsleeivy Bass clarinet, I don’t believe animators will play it like a flute ! Ahaha! :D

Stopping is not the only reason to hold the horn the way it is normally held.
@@TimothyReeves Could you please share some of the other reasons?

in one concert where the horns finally had the melody, we held our horns similar to this so that they were loud enough (fff)
Tell me you don’t play french horn without telling me you don’t play french horn
french horns dont usually retail for over 10k those are only the super expensive professional horns
Though they are still crazy expensive, many retail for like 3000 bucks. Its reasonable, but still really expensive

They didn’t animate the actual form that it’s supposed to be played in because it was to much work, instead they did an easier pose
As a french horn player myself, I can say with confidence, that I don't really care if it was animated correctly or not.
Went from trumpet to horn and searched up horn etudes and, I would have never expected such a disappointment.
Valves on the wrong side, cheeks are blown up with air, AND that angle is 😨😨
Dude ain’t even pressing the keys 💀
Saxophone also never gets animated correctly, but at least they're holding it somewhat right, most of the time.
Playing French Horn is making me insane. I can't take marines hymn out of my mind since the next audition is coming real soon.
As a French Horn player, the fact that Bugs is holding it wrong triggers me on so many levels.
Same - another French horn player
Maybe they didn't want to confuse the kids?
@@SMCwasTakenbut this confuses them further to see the valves aren’t where his hand is
Bro wasn't even gonna press keys
me, a french horn player: THE FKING PEDALS ARE ON THE FKING OTHER SIDE
finally as a horn player i feel represented
Bro ain’t even holding it right…
IN THE CARTOON HIS FINGERS ARENT EVEN ON THE VALVES- ITS ON THE VALVE SLIDERS IT HURTS
As a french horn player, I watched this video.
Oh god... as a violin and piano playing recorderist, I can see how bad the french horn is animated.
As a French horn player, I’m offended.
How did they even mess this up. As a French Hornist, LET ME HELP
Bro doesn't even have is hand in the horn 💀
As a French horn player, I feel offended
as a french horn player this hurt my feeling :(
As a French horn learning trombone, I agree
That’s not even how you hold it, I- 💀
nah at the end of the video, the backrooms bacteria monster sound came into my ears-.
HE HELD IT WRONG!!! AS A FRENCH HORN PLAYER IM SCREAMING
Shish that's worse than Squidward
I know this is definitely not the biggest problem with this clip, but the French horn is backwards.
Hey I play horn too qt❤
And he isn't even holding it right 💀
French horns are never animated period.
As a baritone player i am truly disgusted.
Why is he holding it like that??
hes a pioneer in horn technique, soon to become one of the best hornists around
@@microwave_overlord ahhh
pls more videos that are long❤
People… it’s a joke.
you should play a song called “symphonic dance no. 3 fiesta” i i played it in high school band last year
As a french horn player, i find this offensive (the way bugs is holding the horn)
There's no mouthpiece
He is holding it god awfully wrong
Music looks like it was made for piano
He's blowing into it so wrong
There's not even valves half of the time
Other half he's just holding tubing
*This hurts to watch*
That’s not how u play a horn bunny

french horn can sound good?
Nothing is animated correctly. That's the point of animation. To do things that don't work in reality.
the thing that annoys me the most is the way he holds it
i'm sorry what is that valve arrangement
french horn is never animated.
📯🎺🎺🎺📯📯
What is the cartoon called?
Bro……….. It’s a cartoon for people below 7 years old🪦
As a pro french horn player it makes me soooo mad seeing this
You are wrong, it doesnt gets animated. There is nothing to correct. :c representation matters and stuff

Dang Tim in like 2 years shows all thr instruments are not animated propley
The disrespect
bugs could never get his hand in the bell playing it this way.
I’m in beginner band and this is low key what they sound like.
As a french horn player i am bawling my eyes out and ever fiber of my living being is quivering in fear.
As a horn player this aggravates me.
You do NOT hold your horn up like that. It will fall, Bugs.
I'm such a looney tune for these videos 😁
french horns are never animated period😭
I play horn, and this is painful to watch
Bugs cant even play the horn
He’s not even holding it right
Is that a right handed horn 😂
How do you even mess this up?
😂
more like French horns are never animated lol
First
still better then my bands french horn!! 😂
me a french hornist: people care enough to animate them?
As a French horn player, that isn’t say to mess up.
