Yes, there is always risk. Stick with ETFs tracking an index that has been around for 10+ years so you have better data to see if it made it through different financial situations
So i opened my ira now im going to pick index funds so do i keep putting money into what everone i pick or just buy the share and how do i pay my ira or what ever goes in my ira will be divide with my etfs
Agreed! This is Fidelity's Bitcoin ETF. You can easily buy fractional shares of BTC from a reputable, major brokerage for a reasonable expense ratio. They own and hold the coins in their own vaults. A good way to have BTC exposure. (Vanguard won't offer BTC.)
What drives growth for an ETF? Is it the daily trades of the ETF fund?,,, or is it the result of the daily trades made on the stocks within the ETF? Or both?
Do you think just picking QQQM (or XNAQ, for me in the UK), is safe/ sensible enough in the medium term (or better to stick with the S&P) ? I mean, if you look at past performance, the Nasdaq had a torrid time, with 3 massive down years, at the beginning of this century ! I have 2 investment properties and I'll be putting 30K ($38k) into an ETF (with a little cash on the side). Diversified, in a reasonable way?

What are your thoughts on FCNTX for the growth portion of a portfolio?
With individual stock my performance in a year and 3 moths is 48% With alot of work and QQQM did something like 27% so im planing on having more of that ETF and some SCHD for diversification, my high gains is with high concentration in some companies like 16% of the portfolio on NVDA not for the faint of heart
what about VOO, VUG, and SCHD? Everything else I have is in high-yield savings to give it that diversification away from equities
How do you feel about schg compare to qqqm? I am self employed and 47 yrs old…no 401k. Thank you
I honestly like both almost exactly the same. I have both in my portfolio
@@NolanGouveia, thank you for responding. I appreciated you!
FSELX is a great one also for semiconductors.
I’ll have to check that one out!
I do about 33/33/33 VOO, SCHD, and SCHG. With about 5 percent of my growth category going to SOXQ
I have same in my portfolio and the returns are amazing. Best trio for long term investments.
Question, when you buying VOO you buy every time a whole share? Or is it ok for example to buy every week fruction of a Voo share?
@@Investmiz totally ok to buy fractional shares if your platform allows it
New to the channel Professor
Welcome!
🤑 QQQM & VOO long term baby! ❤ Thank you Nolan!
Let’s goooo
Professor G, what do you think of the mutual fund FSELX?
What do you think about tsly, cony, nvdy ?
I’m betting on SOXQ!
Semiconductors are the modern day Oil Rush!
VOO, VGT, & SOXQ
I'm going to look into this SOXQ.
Same. I am adding to my position with SOXQ which is a portion of my growth portfolio.
I'm close to 2000 shares of soxq
betting now because it went up a lot already?!!
I wish us Brits had access to as many ETFs as our American cousins..😢
Prof G. I divide equal share in each SCHD, SPMO, SMH, ITOT, and a floating 20% for occation day trading stock. What do you think?
Thank you Professor G for the value you bring to us. Specific question, I have the opportunity to invest 40K since I made a property sale, my idea is 30% VOO 30%% qqqm or spyg and 30% schd and dgro and 10% IBIT with the current prices would you do it in one go or 50% one time and the remaining 50% in DCA for the next 6-12 months, thank you very much
Thank you Professor, my issue is that I don't speak English just to write to you, I use Google Translator. greetings
Please make a video for active managed funds or etfs
What is a good fusion energy etf?
What do you think about HTA?
qq- is there a risk of ETF's drowning to value to zero dollar amounts? And how to look for those signs, characteristics, and pointers that will make an ETF collapse completely?
Yes, there is always risk. Stick with ETFs tracking an index that has been around for 10+ years so you have better data to see if it made it through different financial situations
So i opened my ira now im going to pick index funds so do i keep putting money into what everone i pick or just buy the share and how do i pay my ira or what ever goes in my ira will be divide with my etfs
you forgot to mention the cost of asset management fees and taxes
What do you think about the vaneck semiconductor etf ?
I would just put it all in NVDA, the 800 pound gorilla.
Would it make sense to have a 4 fund portfolio with having both SCHG and FTEC in the growth section?
I like FBTC with at least 5 year horizon.
Agreed! This is Fidelity's Bitcoin ETF. You can easily buy fractional shares of BTC from a reputable, major brokerage for a reasonable expense ratio. They own and hold the coins in their own vaults. A good way to have BTC exposure. (Vanguard won't offer BTC.)
what about growth mutual funds?
I wouldn’t do Technology as a sector etf if you are getting the growth and sp500. I would consider these recession proof sectors, healthcare / consumer staples / utilities.
Which etf is the best for recession proof sector?
Is it a good idea to own both an S&P 500 EFT and a NASDAQ 100 EFT?
One can definitely! I have both in my portfolio!
Yes for diversity
How about fidelity etfs to invest?
Yes, I need advice on Fidelity too because of my 401k
Still holding onto VTI, VYM, and VGT. Just waiting for more funds to be deposited into my brokerage account to buy more shares of ETFs.
Surprisingly my portfolio still climbed slightly higher above 9k...I'm glad 😊. May not be rich but it was a bit of a struggle even getting past the 9k threshold. Next stop is 10k. 🫡
XLG...thats my pick.
