Very nice vintage group sets. I'm glad to see that Woody has survived cabin fever and a New Year's bonfire...😊subtle messaging at the end.😂 Enjoy Cali.😊
I love your videos Andy, but I especially love your commentary. You share so many little tidbits of knowledge its a gold mine for us amateurs. I have learned so much from it.
Thanks Bike Farmer for bringing me back to rebuilding haro BMX bikes and putting white walls and lowrider parts on them. Surprised the Specialized has mavic rims with prestavalves.
I have a 1993 giant Cadex 2 Carbon Rd. bike with Shimano 105, it’s one of my favorite bikes to ride and the drive train still shifts, absolutely perfectly and this bike rides just as good as anything new today
lol, just finished a resto on that same black cannondale model, mine also had the velcro blackburn cannondale bottle mount 😂 also if you look close that is a black flake paint on that bike. very nice
Sunday morning...sipping coffee, 14F degrees outside, watching a guy tear down a couple of bikes. My wife is a little concerned LOL. BTW...how are you liking your thrift store chair????
me any random night. recently.. last night a 2018 KHS alite 150 swapped in a new cassette hub (broken spoke freewheel) and made it 24 speed with matching brifters. it's still sorta crap but it sure stops well. wide bars and tuning probably Monday. tonight 96 930 gets new headset for the Manitou SX it's already 27.5 disc swapped with wide bars short stem and vintage 99 XT 750 and DEORE brifter 510
I bought some 3-D printed ones a few years ago. They had a peg to jam in and I added a touch of clear adhesive and they are still doing their job. Design flaw? Blasphemer! The original made in the USA Cannondales ruled back in the day!
Its sad to say, but older bikes like that can be way beyond economical to repair and resell. Once you put new cables/tires/seat etc on those you have gone beyond the value of the bike as a whole most likely. Worth more in parts. While old bikes are cool, they aren't always worth much money as riders typically demand the newer technology of newer bikes.
Well, every single morning, I ask, should I kill my myself, or have a cup of coffee. So far, I’ve always chosen the coffee. Then I check the BikeFarmer comments until I find a question that’s so incredibly impossible to answer that I do my very best to give an honest answer, just to remind myself that life is so unconscionably absurd, that we’re left with no other choice but to enjoy it.
based on your recommendation I bought and read your wife's book. My thoughts: I finished the novel Still True by M.G. who is the wife of the bikefarmer. The characters’ are well drawn and they bring the reader into the story. It is set in Wisconsin and these people all sound wisconsiny-which is a good thing. The theme is ‘what is a lie and how do “white” lies cause problems and division? Having read about the theology of white lies I think this novel spells out the issue well. One character’s past is so horrific she keeps it from her husband of 33 years.. Life seems OK, their relationship great, but then a child of that past comes in and disrupts the peace the lies attained. Then there is the incident which creates more lies, who was driving the car? who was in the car? who was hurt and why does he join in the lie? A tangle of lies. Then there is alcohol, the 12 Steps and how to deal with lies even white lies, especially white lies. A very good book, well written and intriguing. I couldn’t put it down. the best bike channel on the interwebs !
12:56 - Nice shot!
The handle bars on that haro are so cool. Dang.
Those haro grips are very 90s! Pretty cool to see that they survived all this time.

And now I am curious how you've set up your storage.
Ah man i'm loving this... just a cozy video of bike nerd content to watch before falling asleep. perfect.. thank you.
Awesome chill video! BP lower by 10 points thanks to the BikeFarmer!

Nice wheelset off the C’dale. I wonder how the “n” got like that… Those box section MA40’s were the best for so long.
I had one of those Velcro Cannondale water bottle holders (and the bottle) back in the day! Kinda cool to see one again.
I'm digging the chill music.
Nice choice of music, really enjoying this format, executed in proper bikeman fashion!
Relaxing 💪
Love those old Crank-n-Fail Cannondales
Be nice I had over 60k miles on early 90's T series and twice across the country with four bags. The years of cantilevered dropouts.... stay FAR AWAY.
The early to mid 1990s Deore kit was so good. For general riding nothing better has ever been made imo, it's indestructible.

Woody Chairrelson is doing well, thanks for asking!
I'm only here for the jazz music anyway 😂

Good morning from South Florida
Awesome and hilarious!! ASMR enough to be ASMR while not being an ASMR weenie! Ope!! Great vid!
Hi just wondering what’s that small hook on the the Both side of eyelet fork uses for
Nice sticker 🤣
So what do you do with all the frames? Scrap or sell. They just pile up around here.
Dude…..legit ASMR I don’t have to hide from my wife

Those bikes headed to a vintage bike dealership?
Righty, Loosey on the bar end shifters!?? I would've lost my mind attempting to remove them...
That’s why we watch! ✌️❤️🚲
The more you know! Diggin it. @@bkefrmr
Can the cable guide on the Cannodale be reattached?
Nope! One of the single greatest design flaws in bicycle history

About 12 years ago Aarons in south seattle still had some in a box. Now, three d printed on etsy or ebay.
Any particular reason these are being stripped instead of restored? Cracked or dented frames?
I was wondering the same thing, why not just clean it up and either ride it or resell it, maybe he’s going to repaint it

Can I have those bar end shifters?
Nice! Nobody can get angry about that. Do you have an EBay store where you can resell some of those parts?
After last week a good week to chill, nobody will have negative comments this week. Oh right this is the internet.

I just wonder how you choose that these were good donor bikes and not some good-to rebuild bikes 😅
Damaged frames? Good components?
The much talked about triple housing pull
