I looked at that car and am amazed at how they managed to finish the molding work between the rear fender and the lower door hinge. There isn't much room in there to work.
Aw, it hurts so much in my country they do not allow these builds a license plate. Soon we all are forced to drive batteries, where's the fun in that?!
That's one thing I love about living in the U.S. you can build your own vehicle from scratch and legally drive it on the road. Granted it's been registered with the state and can pass inspection so you can't just go driving any old thing on public roads but if it's safe and legal...
The hot rod and custom community is dying off. Young people see cars as appliances. They don't seem to understand what the car community is all about. We need to find a way to get more young people into cars. There's a younger guy (30's) who works with me at the body shop. He said that if a car is older than him, then he doesn't need to work on it. That really hit me. Because the best cars were made before he was born.
The problem is that all the "young people" have all been bunched up with that same stereotype that none of us care about the old cars. As a 17 year old with a 55 Chevy, 59 Studebaker and 62 Rambler who also knows of a ton of other young guys with classic cars, I can confirm that that is not true.
Well the enormous cost of ownership plays a big part. Insurance alone is deal breaker for many young people. I know young people in their 30's who don't even have a driver's license. Not a rare situation anymore. Of course with modern cars fixing them yourself is problematic. I've got a good story where an old timer mechanic thought he new what was wrong with my car, he was positive, he was wrong. It was some sort of computer issue🙄. It's no wonder young people view cars the way they do.
I'm 30 yrs and I think I missed the golden age of cars to be honest, I'd love to be able to tune a carb or work on engine timing, but I feel like there are too few places to learn about it anymore, I guess I'm the opposite of your guy.
@ D.A.L. You must not know very many young people to generalize like that. I see many at races and car shows and even on RUclips, that like older cars, and even like older music. Don't give up on them yet!
Gear shift is upside down. I wonder if that’s intentional. I can’t imagine someone drilling the hole for that ball like that. In fact, I would assume they would want the “3” up top.
Ya GOTTA love a ‘50s style ‘30s hotrod. Beautiful
Glad to know things like this are still around!
A lot of people loved this car so much to keep it around this long.
That's so nice.
Absolutely beautiful
I love it, the look, the story, and that it's Canadian🇧🇲🇧🇲😀
Now that is gorgeous
Built like an old East Coast (US) style hot rod with the wild channel and no chop top but with the full fenders it is really unique
I was sweating bullets till I saw that beautiful T-Bird engine! Love it! Thanks Dennis.
No one else has said it so I will, Little Deuce Coupe. Well done.
Another great story...Thanks Mr. Dennis...Wow!
That is a really cool job on the channel 8 inches is a lot I bet it's something to put on a lift or even a four post great job👍😎💯👌
It's incredible he has owned that car for so long. Most guys myself included own a car a few years then sell it on and buy something else.
Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very cool! Getting in and out of the little duce coupe looks challenging for a taller person.
Beautiful Rod.....and there was another one behind you.😊...thanks

"Low slung... and sassy!" That pretty much says it all.
Beautiful 32

@@GoodToGoIndustries Thats something to protect at all costs! Heck, in my country the only road legal rods go for $100k+ since they are so rare.
Hi here in Germany is also not easy to become it Road-Legal ! with Channeling the problems begin........🤥🤔
Nice!!!!
Obras de arte
That's so cool and different, drop the bottom and not the top. 😎👍
The rear fenders have been moved up to the top of the trunkline.
I would have liked to see where the frame is at when you open the door.
Some sort of back board shield could be integrated where that exhaust is hitting.

Exactly ! The Hot-Rod and Custom Scene must survive because what they do with the cars is for me personel WORK of ART !!! greetings from Germany 👌✌
Chop tops were the thing back when but I like the non chop top.
R-A-D-I-C-A-L!
Kick ass!

I see in the picture from 1958 it has the same hub caps that I had on my first car, a 1955 Ford hardtop.
Too Rad ❤️
NICE
Good thing cars today have the same nice lines from the past...not
The owner sounds just like Jim Grundy from Grundy Classic Car Insurance 😁
😁😁👍👍
