From what I remember learning 25+ years ago, the sailor *on* the wave has right of way. So the guy coming over the back of the wave needs to keep out of the way of the guy already riding it.
So so important to have your foot straps adjusted correctly, not to big, not to small, it’s a horrible feeling crashing at speed and still being hooked in as you catapult forward 🫣🫣
Hi Ben, the 'Beach Bound' wagon was my faithful but deeply uncool Austin Allegro. The bonnet was signed by Robbie Naish and Bjorn Dunkerbeck at the failed PBA event in Cornwall c1989. The board is a Lodey 275 Wave Slalom that I still have and cherish.
Wicked episode Ben! That youngster is pure class. Proud parents I'm sure. Looking forward to Pozo, would like to see more of the actual destination, and some behind the scenes and gear chats with the pros. That's always enjoyable.
Can't wait for Pozo! I really prefer that style of wave competition than the down the line stuff like Fiji, which I find kind of boring to watch after seeing the 10th same wave. Pozo has more "normal" conditions, so it makes the riders really have to go crazy to show who's the best 🤙
aaah the defi, one race i was too much upwind for the finish line, but wind so strong i had no more arms to hold onto the boom, i had like 4-5 canonball in front of the finish line before i made it 🤣
Mads had right of way because it was during a heat in the Danish championships in the competition area! Also be kind to locals: German riders outnumber Danish riders 15 to 1, and our spot has very limited localism … yet 😅
I'd love to put in some beer money Ben - why don't you sell me the Windsurfing TV cap with a good profitt (😂) as exchange for the membership (50€ ?) ✌🏻🤙🏼
aside from some gentleman's agreements on how to be respectfull on the wave. The rider on the left is at fault. He changed his course and could have seen the rider on his left who is on the right. Also upwind course goes before downwind course. So the rider on the left should have heeded to the surfer on the right. Being on a wave has no official regulations relating to right of way.
sorry.. sometimes I don't realise it. Problem is.. if my voice stays low the energy would also be low. So not sure it would have any emotion. It would just be talking about clips. But maybe that's what you are after!
Thanks!
Awesome drone footage showcasing windsurfing action in Guincho, Portugal and Bernardo attempting his first double loops.
Here's the link to all the Guincho windsurf drone action: ruclips.net/video/CFIVGgNvfxo/видео.html
Sunday is always the best day, because we have Ben
Great video! Can't wait for the Pozo vids 🙂 I think the last surf vagan is from my neck of the woods....Ontario Canada 🙂
Pozo time!!! Thank you Ben! Please continue your Challenge series, excellent action and commentary! More doubles please.

after watching all PVB's content from Fiji, i would love to see a lot more behind the scenes and other non on the water content from Pozo...

Simmer riders always have right of way😂

Crash reel, yeaaaahhh!
The truck and the oven were in Canada!
I think it was an Austin Allegro!
The Simmer rider was first on the Wave, so it`s his wave.

Austin Allegro! 😁
Can you believe they named a speed board after it!!! 😁

@@kenzephyrlegend.. thanks mate 🍺🍺…it’s thirsty work. ..and yeah I think I need some other forms of payment.
Looks like it’s mads fault.. he gets on the wave later on…

I'd watch this channel a lot if it wasn't for the shouting.
I get that it's meant to keep the videos exciting, but I can't stand it. Sorry.

Leeward sailor has right of way? 🥸
