George Harrison used to wear boots like that.
In fact, they were called "George Boots".
I had a pair back in the 70s.

Jimmy is a comedy god. The only comics that make me laugh as much are Robin Williams (R.I.P.), Richard Ayoade, and Lee Mack. That's my dream team right there.

      " Robin Williams wasn't a comedian"?
What planet are you from...nobody did standup comedy better than Robin.
      Nobody.

Yes, he was. He is actually regarded as one of the greatest comedians of all time. He began doing standup comedy the year I was born, and I remember to this day my daddy bitterly complaining about him and Eddy Murphy due to their potty mouths. :p I, of course, found them both hilarious. It was his standup comedy that led to him being 'discovered,' and he started TV work on Laugh-In (great old show!). Even into his career on TV, Robin continued doing standup, even internationally. Then he broke into movies where he proved he was also a brilliant actor. I will always be grateful to him for all the times he has made and continues to make me laugh. @@kurtsudheim825

It's a poppy. It represents an act of remembrance we all follow every November, to remember all those who gave their lives in war. The date of our Remembrance Day is 11th November, the date that the ceasefire at the end of World War One came into force. The poppy was chosen as the British symbol of remembrance because of the huge number of them that grew wild in Flanders, where most of the UK forces at the time did their fighting. (And also, of course, because the vivid red of the petals is reminiscent of the colour of the blood spilt by those soldiers on our behalf)
      Hope that explains things.

It's a Remembrance Day poppy. They're also worn on Anzac Day in New Zealand and Australia.

Jimmy said "Women's tennis didn't used to be as much fun to watch, but now Serena is playing . . . . ."
Yes Jimmy, since they started letting men play in women's tennis!
