  • 1994 Toyota Camry V6
    - 5-Speed swap
    - TRD Supercharger @ 7psi
    - FPR w/ rising boost pressure
    - Other supporting stuff
    Problems
    - Lean spot most likely due to the use of the automatic ecu, and exacerbated by the stock fuel injectors
    - Maxed out stock fuel injectors
    - SAFC correction was in the 40%s
    - Probably would have put out the same amount of power on 6psi, since there wasn't enough fuel delivery

      R-Spec Don't... ever... get rid of it. You struck gold. It may not be "fast", but you have hundreds of thousands of miles of reliable driving left on that thing. My 99 2.2 has right at 300K. It still runs and drives smooth as silk, and in really good shape inside and out. How did you find one with so few miles???

      @@ChevyFtWss U got urself an amazing car. You'll be a massive idiot if you sell it. Boy what would I give to get an example of the most reliable cars ever (Camry, Mercedes W124 etc.) with such a low mileage. Cars really aren't built today like they used to be.
      Here in Poland I hardly ever see those Camrys, but if I do, they almost everytime have black license plates (before 2000)
      People who could buy those cars during the mad 90s here, could very easily afford switching to a newer car, yet still don't wanna get rid of them. That says something.
      I would love a Camry like this with a V6, or even better, a Toyota Crown, or EVEN better a Century. :D

    Haha nice ride man, I got a 2 wheel drive 1993 Dodge Dakota with a V8 318 Magnum under the hood. Found the engine at a pick and pull and had to have it, nice thing is is that it bulted right up. I love my Dodges but I got respect for a well built car. Soon new paint job, rims and tires. I just fixed the front end on it, needed new shocks and toe arm. Because it's 2wd i slammed it four inches, and got new exaust for it. I'm also looking into building a camry

    i wanna do this to my 2000 camry wagon, but only 5psi - i think 7psi is pushing things a bit.
    I'd love to see the look on those rice racers faces when they get smoked at the lights by a family wagon. Ricers are everywhere here in aus, i think its time they saw how a REAL car drives.

  • @phatray

    @TTercel the vents on the bumper actually defuses air to the bottom of the car, thats why it feels like its floating......if you really want downforce try getting a bumper that ducks the air OUT to the sides....

  • @projektvertx
    @projektvertx 14 лет назад

    @ambientflier Actually, that is an RMM lip added to the stock bumper. It is fully functional and increases on road traction. It may not look the best in your eyes, but it works and has a purpose :)

    The truth is Camry engine for this period also was used in the truck. No wonder it more heavy than the new model said the 1997 and beyond. So that mean combustion to composition ratio is pretty low or thicker engine.

    @ambientflier Actually no, your wrong. You see, that bumper is an authentic race-tuned bumper that was used in Australia for a Camry race car. Pretty hard to get ahold of too. He didn't choose it for aesthetics....

      +HailTsunade there is no v4 camry, it's called an inline 4, v4 would mean there are 2 lines on 2 cylinders that are tilted away from each other, while all Camry 4 cyl have all cylinders in a single line

    Function > Looks
    The bumper provides downforce at high speed. Helps greatly on Camrys since the front end gets floaty at high speed and the steering is light and numb.

    @Ajthewildcat11 you can if you have the money to do it . think about it ... the motor + tranny =( $2000 - $2,500) and you gotta re do your engine wiring if you know how do it yourself , if not take it to the shop and they charge you about $200-$300 to rewiring and other $500 to put everything back in the car (labor) like i say if you got the money do it

    Depending on the motor. This right here might be a 1mz-fe, they're the most common V6 motors in 91-96 Camrys in America, correct me if I'm wrong. I'm going to do a swap to my Camry. It's 1995 5fse motor and I want to swap it with a 3vz-fe motor.

  • @MrKdub318
    @MrKdub318 13 лет назад

    @dantheman9360 i think the motor mounts are different so maybe not. i had a motor swap done from my 95 camry into my 92 camry. both had 4cyl engines but my 95 had been imported from japan, and my 92 was made in the US and had the possibility of having different motor mounts even with both engines being 4cyl. the 92-96 camry has the 4cyl or v6 options, but i think the motor mounts are different

    wow you're all over the place. just saw you on toyota nation forum. i'm doing some major mods to my 94 camry too. thinking bout getting a 3SGTE motor, both super charging and turbo inductions and swapping the automatic transmission for a lighter manual. i built a couple rx7 motors but dumbass friend of mine dropped a bolt in 1 and blew 1st, 2nd ran too hot and too high boost, 3rd, he crashed, so i'm done with rx7s.

  • @cchapar
