The thing with Ross’s first wife leaving him essentially by cheating during the marriage and then claiming sole ownership of their child - I never got the legal justification for it, let alone the comedic value.
Friends transcends generations. The theme of growing up in the world in your 20s is such a universal one that there will always be generations of new fans from across the world. Isn’t this also the most dubbed sitcom in history? That just demonstrates the show’s enduring legacy.
Happy 30th anniversary to Friends. The six Friends were so well cast, that you'd swear that they'd known each other for years prior to shooting. This was apparently to the detriment of guest stars, who felt excluded.
The Ist two seasons have its own different grace. Although the whole season just a treat to your comfort but ist 2 seasons give such cozy vibe... their dressings, hair, style is such impeccable for me personally and humour... just love.
The whole Ross and Rachel saga really had me believing that you should chase a person for years and years and eventually you'll fall in love...unfortunately, "but it worked for Ross and Rachel" did not hold up in court...
Really? I always thought that Ross was daydreaming and making it harder for himself by chasing Rachel in the earlier seasons... at least the Ross from the first seasons. That kind of stuff usually doesn't happen in real life... the way Chandler and Monica first got together is way more realistic...
Monica sleeping with Ethan that is younger than her at the apartment is one of the most underrated episodes from season 1. Happy 30th anniversary Friends 🎉
I love how before Joe's egg idea Chandler was genuinely rooting for Ross to approach her and get back put there but the moment something funny presented itself he had no trouble sabotaging Ross's shot
Upon rewatching Season 1, I've found that I've never warmed to Susan. She was just so unreasonably rude to Ross, which came off as mean spirited than funny. Even though they patched things up in Season 2, it felt a bit too little, too late.
Not saying it's justified, but it is a little warranted. Ross was very mean to Susan and while it's fair he has resentment towards her for stealing Carol, a lot of comments and jabs he made are just very homophobic and sometimes undeserving. It's only natural she'd retaliate with the same
The kiss with Matthew Perry and Matt Leblanc wasn't underrated the scene with Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer was underrated sitting on the armchairs and Matthew Perry jumps when Janet scares Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer gets such a shock it makes him jump out of his skin for real.
Seriously. So heartless. Ok you're a lesbian now but it's still his child. Not his fault you wanna be with women now. It's one thing to not name the baby Geller & give it your name but How dare you take away his name & give the baby her name too? That is just cruel
Season 1 is by far the worst. So many cringe moments, way too serious history lines, characters still on the way to find their personalities and many "lessons learned" at the end of each episode.
Everything you just said is exactly what makes season 1 iconic. It's cringe moments were cringe in a good way, developing characters to the greats they become I actually don't have anything for the lessons learned thing, but my point stands
@@BillCipherfan1234 It may be iconic, but I think is for all the wrong reasons. You can tell writters had no clear view on where to take each character personalities plus the fact that the overall aura of the show feels more like one of those lame sitcoms from the late 80s and early 90s

The first two seasons are the embodiment of the 90s lol if you also watch the first seasons of "Mad About You", you're practically back in the 90s.
When it was still friends hanging out, before it turned into a soap opera.
Never noticed that Ross prepared to make a picture right on the moment where Joey kisses Chandler 😂❤

They slept with multiple upon multiple partners before during and after there saga. Very toxic chase not a lot of people want. Just my opinion.
Looking back as an adult its kinda messed up that carol wasnt gonna give ben ross' name
It’s not kind of - it is messed up. It’s part of the reason why Carol became a lot less unsympathetic until her wedding.
I absolutely agree. Honestly, I just don’t like carol to be honest.
Season one is my favorite season of the entire show. PS Monica’s hair is so beautiful in season one

I seriously love this show so much. I wish I had seen the show when it aired on tv. I was only 8 years old when it debuted in 1994.
The world was a better place before 9/11... we, the whole world, lost our 90s naiveté that day.
