Appreciate your good heart in sharing your knowledge for other's benifits . How to do the same in desktop computer ? Suppose I have installed originally 1TB OR 2TB Hard disc and still there is sufficient space , say 1TB , what should I do ? Moreover SSD of the same capacity TB will be very costly . Retd people and others who can't afford , cannot throw away this HDD and replace with a less TB . Guide me pls . How do I contact you directly for help .??
I thought you were going to explain by without changing any hardwares. It's not an enhancement in the existing system. It's the replacement or upgrading the system.

Vaipila raja most laptops that comes with an integrated graphics doesn't allow or support adding a GPU. Athalyum the series you mentioned is APU which is CPU + GPU combined. So you basically have to replace the entire chipset which is not worth it.

Jebin, I have been in IT for 20 years and have assembled pc's a few times after college. However I never though the process of replacing HDD with SSD was so simple and easy. That's exactly what I had conveyed that it is simple and easy. It's not a major discovery - but just a confidence booster for people who may have even thought of it and not done it unsure about the complexity and costs.

Video editing is a resource intensive operation and will require better CPU, Graphics card and RAM as well. Just to let you know I have never used Computer for video editing so far. We have published 750 videos between my channel and my wife's channel and we have always edited in the Phone - It is fast and easy with the modern day phones and apps built for video editing. Hi Sir, instead of only cable, i purchased sata cable with enclosure. Now using old hdd as a external hard drive in that enclosure. Amazon recommended that while searching for sata to usb cable
Also you can add more Ram if your processor supports...

Local technicians say cloning the existing harddisk is not possible. All the software and the os has to be re installed
With the cloning software and the SSD you can clone it easily. All software and data will be exactly how it was in the source.
Hi Anand, My Lap has 20 GB Ram and a 1TB HDD but it was very slow. It used to take 10 mins to boot as you have mentioned in this video. What I did is I reinstalled windows 10 without uninstalling the OS using the options in windows os services. Now it’s some what ok. It boots in 1 min and battery 🔋 backup has also improved a lot from 1:30 hrs to 3 hrs. I will try install a SSD after few months if the performance degrades. Can you post a video on tweaking the os using the os services option in window which installs a fresh copy without losing the data in the other partition drives. Just a thought.
20 gb ram sounds like a very unusual combination to me. Are they 4 gb + 16 gb chips ? Make sure they are of the same frequency.
Please understand the chain is as strong as the weakest link. Similarly all the RAM chips will operate at the frequency of the lowest RAM installed.

Adding to anand Anna's suggestions....once finalized the laptop specs and brand...buy the laptop which has linux OS installed. Linux OS installed laptops are 2 to 3 k lesser than windows OS Installed laptop. You could change the OS after buying it...

@@rajaramchisu you could use any ssd with any laptop specs but make sure the size of the ssd before buying, because the ssd has to be installed in your laptop.
Also look for read and write configuration of ssd. It's all about speed of exchanging the data.

Devanand Nagarajan it is like using an usb drive to back up data. The SSD is just like a replacement for your hard disk . There is no more data privacy risk than replacing a battery for example.

@@devanandnagarajan8559 that website is to download a cloning tool, if you don't trust that tool then you could use any ghosting tool to backup your laptop.
Else follow my approach of just replacing the hdd with ssd start a fresh os installation and move only the required files from your old hdd.
Yes the website is a link to download a cloning software. You can use any cloning software you want if you don't want to use Acronis. By the way Acronis is a free cloning tool that you can use for any cloning - not just this SSD.

Yes Ramesh. Most laptops have the same 2.5 inch SATA hard disk and any 2.5 inch SSD would fit in the same slot.
