Just rip the cloth mesh and grease it with a heavy fuser grease. I have had 2040's fail after 10,000 pages. The client was using only OEM toner. I have done more than i care to note and using a good fuser grease fixes the problem. The hard part is getting quality fuser grease. I just paid $400 AUD for a 50 gram tube of grease that RICOH uses in their machines.
So do you just remove the fiberglass cloth mesh and put the fuser grease on the white pressure fixture? Having problems with the cloth wearing out and eventually tearing.

Good to see ricos up to their good old practises. I have excellent grease available on my website way cheaper
