New subbie, I just came from Rachel at Roxy Creations. Omgosh! How awesome is this one!! Guess what I'll be doing today? (And no, it's not the dishes😂)! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!!
Thank you! I really are a non teknic human and don’t like my computer, but i now i have to use it more. This helps. Now i just have to learn how to do diditals of my old papers from my farm...🙏🏻😊👍🏻🦋
This is so goid to know. I all of the ideas and info that you are bringing out for us. I had no idea that there is public domain where I can get awesome pics to use in my crafting.
Wow - watched the series of episodes for finding free images - thank you so much for the tutorial and for sharing this information! Prompted me to check out your channel and all you other videos - and just became a new subbie.
I am so so thankful for this series you made :) May be I missed something, but would like to ask, whats your recommendation, when I am looking for soft backgrounds for jurnal pages?appreciate help:)
Susan Taylor Brown , I scooted over to Picryl and from South Africa found that when I wanted to download an image, I was asked for a donation! Not sure if this comes up on your screen but I was reluctant to go any further. Thanks once again! 🌹
Susan what would be an example of “changing”. An image to make it your own that would be acceptable for the use permit? Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Hi Susan, I have some questions about the Picryl site. Has it changed since you made this video? First thing I noticed when I did a search for children's books I get tons of pages of text with few images mixed in. In your video you seemed to get a whole lot of images. And it looks like I have to pay to download an image. They have options but it doesn't look like this is a free site. Has that also changed? BTW, I'm in Santa Cruz. My grand kids and their dad live in SV and are evacuated right now. How are you doing?
Hi Susan, thank you for your tutorials. I really enjoy them. I went to Picryl and they wanted a minimum of $2 for each download. Am I doing something wrong?
@@SusanTaylorBrown okay. I guess that's more what I was trying to ask. 😅 I only have interest in public domain images. I'm just asking if public domain pictures can be altered. I hope this makes sense. I'll only be using Picryl. Do I need to check the picture on there to see if they have the stipulation of no derivatives, or does that not apply to public domain. I'm so sorry. I hope I don't sound like I'm just asking the same question.
@@SusanTaylorBrown oooh. Okay. That makes so much more sense. Just wanted to be really sure. I know you obviously aren't giving law advice, but it still helps a ton! Art theft is not cool. And I really want to avoid it at all costs.
Thanks for all your sharing.👏👏❤️ I really don’t know anything about downloading so could you maybe show what kind of download, sizes is the best. How to make the picture bigger whiteout making the picture plury. Hope you now what I mean 🤔
Susan Taylor Brown So sweet of you. 🙏❤️ I would like to be better at the things I am doing. I have been seeing some videos on how to editing pictures but there are so many free programs so it’s a jungle. So I take as it come. i have a new HP pc, with the newest windows 10 version. Thanks for all your help 👏👏👍😉 Hugs 🤗

My name is Kathy. I changed it for Google use.
Just letting you know I found a way to filter the images. But I want to make sure it's the best way. Still looking at the charging.
This is a great one for sure. Thanks so much for doing this. It helps a lot. Have a great day.

Wow...it's just very helpful. I'm in UK and I have to search if it's ok to use them hear. TFS
I'm UK too- hoping that the images have a date on. If 100 yrs old or more- we'll be fine here in UK to use under our copyright I believe.

What would you put in to find those botanical illustrations in your search bar
Again thank you so very very very much. You are awesome.
@@SusanTaylorBrown I have a photo that I would really like to use but can not find anything about it. Would you take a look for me?

Are you allowed to use these pictures, and draw over them, change them, change color tone, ect?
Or are they only to be used "as is"

You should explain what you mean by changing it. You mean Rewrite all the pages or change the pictures, colors.
TFS 😍
They run you through hoops picking out tags and asking which label doesn't apply, so it's totally useless, Thumbs down!
