They're the dorkiest most confident duo I've seen perform in awhile. How are they so playful yet so transcendent at the same time? I heard this one before, but "Hot Pink" came up on a Spotify radio and I had to look them up. After watering them perform, my fandom is solidified. Surprised they're so young. Could've fooled me and told me they were seasoned pros, but these gals are just getting started!
So ahead of their time. They're from the future. Nobody makes music that makes you feel some type of way anymore. They don't make music they make magic
I am constantly amazed at how much people love big words and absolutely do not attach the slightest importance to them. them are obvi good, i love this song so much, but not "ahead of their time" pls...
I can't help but have a dopey smile plastered on my face as I watch this. It's just the most fun performance I've ever seen. So goofy and jubilant. It's ridiculous how much I love this... I don't even like this song all that much on the record. It's just a fine song in that context. Here it's a celebration!
Same. I heard of them after their second album was such a critical darling but gave them a listen but wasn't feeling it. Seeing them on stage changed that though, especially this song.
Same here too, saw them at Victoria Warehouse supporting the Chvrches a few weeks ago. Ever since I've been addicted to their music and the way they perform. I can safely say their latest album is the best music ive heard in quite some time. Not bad considering I'm 56yrs old and have a massive wealth of music wisdom : )
I agree. Like Chvrches, they have taken electronic music somewhere different and new. The fact their music makes such a big impression on those of us long past our teens is a testimony to their talent.
This has to one of my favourite songs ever. I heard this group on 6music and thought WOW. Wow they are , the album is bloody brilliance what a refreshing duo they arep
Joyful indeed...and the power of real people making their own music in their own way. This track is my top track on Spotify....11 mins of simple creativity :-)
Thanks for this excellent recording! I don't know what it is about this song, but the crescendo pulls the biggest emotional reaction out of me. Awesome to have a great live recording of it!
I love this girls so much, I'm just getting into their songs but I'm already in love with this duo, this is one of my favorite songs ever and listening to this high is perfection I swear, such a great song
I just saw this. There is such great energy in this vid. It really captures vibe of live show...not just another youtube video self-promoting themselves.
Seen these two a couple of times now (thanks to Marc Riley BBC 6 Music). Was blown away first time at Blue Dot a few years ago. Then another brilliant performance in Cardiff more recently. Donnie Darko is sheer brilliance. Keep up the good work Ladies and come back to Cardiff or Bristol Soon. Loving the new album was a no brainer for the Q Award.
I think it's because they want to be near the loop pedals, so that they can turn the loops on and off. Blink and you'll miss it, but while they're doing those stunts, you can see them reaching out to the loop pedals. I found this in an interview: “We wrote it with a Boss loop pedal,” explains Hollingworth, “and we couldn’t be asked to lean down and press the button to shut the loop off, so we just used to hit it with our feet, and that makes you a bit unstable. One of us fell over once!”
I wished them hope they'd get better after getting up off the floor. (I am not real big into drama, especially in music) After that, hmm not sure, perhaps it's just not my style. Voice kinda whiny and typical for blah. but good luck to them
Why do you think it's pretentious? This is what LEG have to say about the track - "We watched Donnie Darko while we were still writing our first album, years ago. We weren’t writing about the film-there’s nothing about giant rabbits-but it was an inspiration, especially the part when Donnie’s run over. Some of the themes match some of ours, being a teenager, navigating the world, and things being ambiguous. Even in terms of the sounds on the album, it just made sense.” Personally I think it's a great song by two immensely talented and articulate musicians, and having the good fortune of having met them a few times I can honestly say that neither of them are remotely pretentious.
@@mct.4381 I'm sure I was reading too much into it but I always thought it was called Donnie Darko because both the song and the movie ends where it begins. Looking too deep I imagine!
So many wonderful musicians, and songs, and performers have been labeled "pretentious". Puts them in good company. And honestly, what some see as pretentious others see as approaching brilliance. Just depends on how you like your music.
In case you're wondering, yes everybody from Norwich is this bonkers.
I wish i lived and grew up there
God, you can’t go on a single one of their videos without seeing a comment like this.
Protect them at all costs
@@galvanizedcorpse
And you are just weird 😳
With my life sir, I assure you..
(&I've only known them for the length of 3 donnie darkos)..
I love this comment.

Truly I say unto thee, this definitely rates as one of the coolest live performances ever

You said exactly what I wanted to. Anyway what an amazing duo.

This is the most wholesome thing I have ever seen.
These girls are gonna be big.
i hope they won't. i don't want them to be popular in the mainstream. They will lose their individuality.
they're already
I don't know why but these girls bring joy to my life
thenu have zero life
a bit late but i cried 3 times watching this I DONT EVEN KNOW WHY
Hapiness : ]
I know why, because it really speaks to your inner child. I had the same..
literally one of my all time fave videos on here. usually makes me cry - not sure why, but donnie darko the film did too.

I will definitely be looking forward to what Let's Eat Grandma puts out in the future. Promising young indie artists.

Genius, no other word for it
saw them play this supporting chvrches in dublin, my fave performance ever by a support act
Yep. Saw them at the CHVRCHES pre show in London in February. Then listened through I'm All Ears album and boom ... instant crush.
Yup, saw them also supporting Chvrches in Dublin and since then they've been the band I've most listened to
Great live performance... i saw "lets eat grandma" in Munich, it was also great!
Saw Them a couple of times, always great. They should play live "Sax in the City", is awesome.
This is wholesome as hell omg
Very creative performance
Great vibes
Por dios amo tanto este duo y en especial esta presentación su sonido es fantasía pura ♡

Close your eyes and the music is nice enough. Open your eyes and it looks like a pretty bad act at a middle school talent show.
This is a really great song and these are very skilled and talented people but.. i don’t get the floor thing
Why do you keep laying on the floor?
I think it's because they want to be near the loop pedals, so that they can turn the loops on and off. Blink and you'll miss it, but while they're doing those stunts, you can see them reaching out to the loop pedals.
I found this in an interview: “We wrote it with a Boss loop pedal,” explains Hollingworth, “and we couldn’t be asked to lean down and press the button to shut the loop off, so we just used to hit it with our feet, and that makes you a bit unstable. One of us fell over once!”
