Exploring Coney Island's Spookarama in 2001

- Back in April 2001, the staff of laffinthedark.com ventured to Deno's Wonder Wheel Park in Coney Island, NY to go behind the scenes of the circa 1955 iconic dark ride, Spookarama. My colleagues and I were guided by park vice president Dennis Vourderis. My video also includes a ride-through in 2005. You can read our feature story about the ride in 2001 at www.laffinthed.... And be sure to also read our 2013 feature about the the restoration and upgrading of Spookarama following damage inflicted by Hurricane Sandy in October 2013. The classic dark ride still operates strong (and scary) as ever today!

@@BlueTheVelociraptorBTV my biggest guess is at the factory distortions didn’t really care to program him that impressively because the twitching and kicking motion or adjustable so they thought it would be adjusted so when laugh in the dark bought him, they kind of just kept him like that I didn’t really care so that’s why he only kicks I’m guessing

Do you have more videos of ride walkthroughs with lights on ?
I have no clue as to why this was suggested to me, but I watched the entire thing. It looks like one of the prop companies mentioned in the video, Distortions Unlimited, is still around.
