  • This album should be one of the most talked about records from 1970, but it sunk into obscurity. #psychedelicrock #progrock

Thank you! I had not heard of this band or album. I'm enjoying listening to the album, and to your exposition. Good work

what makes Parachute so amazing is that they can be heavy and so ethereal at the same time

Have lived with this album from 1970, and totally concur with everything you say about it. An absolute classic.

I listen to this album on Spotify and the tracks in the deluxe edition are also great. October 26 particularly. It fits in really well with sickle clowns, grass, and midnight circus - and I wish it made the album replacing she’s a lover - which I find a little corny. Great album!

I own SF Sorrow, so I'm familiar with it, but not this one. Does sound very Beatles-ish, nice harmonies. Big Elf does a cover of "Baron Saturday" on their "Closer to Doom" album. It jams! For more Bealtes/ELO-ish sounds check out "Aviary" by Aviary and by "Back to Zero" by Trickster. Both late 70s releases. Good stuff!

I'm going to have to look up that Baron Saturday cover! I think Parachute was their best, with S.F. Sorrow being second.
