Chinese love lot of chrome and long hooded cars like the Merc-S class, Audi A8L and 8-Series.
I drove BMW for a long time. I bought a house and needed a truck, but I miss BMWs. I never felt so safe or so comfortable in a car. But the styling on the 7 series for a while has been pretty much a cinder block on wheels. I would have one of these though, just as soon as I win the Powerball.
No electric. No hybrid. Just no.

I would still prefer a crossover. The super easy entry/exit of SUVs and crossovers is a genuine luxury. I have ridden in a number of limos and top end cars but hands down SUVs are the most roomy and comfortable.
For me l would always go for the legover.
I wish Volvo should have been in this segment of Luxury Cars. They had the upper hand in technology but they are not planning anything due to its ownership.

Is it going to be as well engineered as the other models in the BMW range. In fact, they are so well engineered that it is likely to breakdown, as soon as the warranty expires. Like all of the top marques, (Lexus, Infiniti, Japanese basically) they are great for those who have the ability to purchase them from new, so they very rarely experience any problems, unless they have a RR.

Wonderful car it's a pity it's electric because I'll never buy an electric vehicle they are just a fad and most people who have bought them and has had them for about five years will never buy another one case closed.

Sorry all, I really like the exterior style and design of this proposed 9 series.It takes the classic BMW design and evolves it, and also having the adaptability of various drive modes should make it a long term contender. But, with the interior, please get rid of any plans for plastic backed front seats, especially with childish dinky little iPads attached. If this is to be a top line contender, then it needs to be classy and desirable, and plastic seats are not classy nor desirable.
The seats are not plastic backed. They are wood with what BMW calls a "piano finish", same as you would find on a grand piano.

VW owns Porsche and Audi, and Bentley. BMW owns Rolls Royce. Daimler Benz is an entirely separate entity. The only thing the three have in common is that they are all German, although with the way things are going in Germany they may soon become Russian or Chinese companies.
