    My quick thoughts from hitting with this racket - Spin, Serves, Power best in 98 class (minus Babolat 98s). Volleys are absolutely zippy and crisp. Picking deep balls up on the rise were resulting in shorter softer shots than I'd like (head weight might help here).

    Amazing review! Hands down the best reviewer ever. Thank you for taking the time to do this. How would this compare to the 22 ezone 98?

    • @ACTennis
      @ACTennis  2 дня назад +1

      Ezone will be more intuitive to swing, in power, control, alot more forgiving and playable - GT will shine most at the top end range for everything, spin is bigger if you can reach it, power is bigger at the max level, but wont be as stable
      I prefer the GT feel and the way it swings is similar to my Gpro, i'm also very used to the playstyle it requires so nothing necessarily new to me, i think it's more work but if you can make it work, it's more rewarding, but only by small amounts. I think most people will prefer the user friendliness of the EZ

    Mate your reviews are on so analytical and comprehensive, I really appreciate the detail and effort you put in! I want to demo this racquet but I"m surprised how low that RA rating is, do you think they perhaps went too low on this occasion ? Perhaps 60 would have been low enough.

    • @ACTennis
      @ACTennis  3 дня назад

      Appreciate that thank you - I think one might feel that way only if they aren't really an aggressive player, if you are really that type of mindset, it probably won't bother you all that much
      The hoop is stiff enough that it offsets it though, so i don't think it's going to cause too many issues with power, but more so stability would be more at the detriment of the flex

    • @ACTennis

      If you check out my Blade 98 V9 review and see the ratings i give the Aero 98, that will tell you everything i think about each characteristic

    Yeah I think you've convinced me to switch from GPro. It’s been wonderful 2 years, it made me a much better player by forcing to commit 100% to every shot. But I just can’t bear the weight anymore. It becomes jelly by the end of the first set.
    Hopefully GT98 will be a great successor.

      @@ACTennis mine is pretty much the default give or take. I've tried to replace the grip with a leather one to address the maneuverability question, but it's way too heavy.
      I hit absolute bombs whenever I make a sweetspot contact and my coach agrees with my thoughts that I've been progressing much faster after switching for GPro. But as a recreational player I'm now sure that it's time to go for something lighter. And honestly I'm not that much of a tennis geek to go into modding to scale down GPro lol.
      I'll give GT98 a try anyway. It looks pretty enough to add to a collection no matter how it plays.

    • @ACTennis
      @ACTennis  2 дня назад

      I think improved feel, because they have similar stiffness RA, new MP will employ the same tech , so feel will probably be same as 98 on the new MP also but haven't tried it yet. Should be more spin on MP, but if you are talking about not customized, then GT98 will play more heavy balls, but is harder work, less forgiving, GMP will be more easy to swing until you start weighing it up to similar specs as the GT98

    • @ACTennis
      @ACTennis  4 дня назад +1

      Speed MP is probably a bit more solid because of thicker beam, but the paint finish can mute the frame more so - 58 is low yeah, but the string is going to be quite important here to offset it feeling too soft - never got around to Extreme Pro because i was cutting down spending, but Aux 1.0 was ok for EP compared to Grav IMO

    Currently using Gravity MP, how does it compare?

    • @ACTennis
      @ACTennis  4 дня назад +1

      GT98 pretty much just tones down everything, makes it a little more difficult to play, but then adds more precision and control for aggressive attacking game style, maybe (arguably) more manoeuvrable, if you were to have it at same weight - not how it is stock, cuz thats like a 10g differential

  • @JohnHughes-f1f
    @JohnHughes-f1f 3 дня назад

    Compared to the Ezone 98, which one offers more power?

    • @ACTennis
      @ACTennis  3 дня назад +1

      I think GT98 offers more power at the top end range, but Ezone makes it easier to access at the mid to high ranges, if that makes sense? GT98 you really need to know how to swing, be loose and super aggressive

    • @JohnHughes-f1f
      @JohnHughes-f1f 3 дня назад

      That did make sense 😊
      I'm at midrange with full swings. Tried out the Ezone 98 yesterday and found it great on the ohb with a large sweet spot and plenty of power. On the other hand the GP98 has that addicting sound 😅. Though decision to take. Great job on the review as always 🎉

    • @ACTennis
      @ACTennis  4 дня назад

      Hahah caught me with the ratings comment probably cuz i say that to other people
      Very quite different, Blade 100s are lots of free stability, using that as a base to everything, like to attack, defend, hit through the ball
      GT98 you really need to swing swing swing, not much blocking and guiding, need to keep your foot on the gas as often as possible, not much free stability and forgiveness,

    Looking at the comparisons You threw, does it compare at all to the new Extreme pro? Since has some qualities of the aero 98, i'm left wondering.
    Great Review!

    • @ACTennis
      @ACTennis  4 дня назад +1

      Extreme Pro is generally more of a Spin-control racquet, so you will find it harder to really just straight up put away the ball as easy as something like the Aero98 or GT98
      Extreme Pro is always a base racquet that i compare many things to, because it''s something that can do alot of things pretty decent, but nothing like particularly stands out as super super special - same as the Radical MP, but RMP is just like a flatter playing version of that

    • @franciscopinto9845
      @franciscopinto9845 3 дня назад

      @ACTennis don't have the same experience with the extreme pro, as I find it an easy racquet to put away shots, and a lot easier (and confortable) to use than the aero 98. You have a ton more experience and tried a lot more racquets than me, so I guess it's just a personal thing.
      I went from a Gravity tour to the extreme pro and it's been super helpful, as I get more power (for defense) and spin without losing control. Thats why this racquet seems so interesting.

      @ A fresh 40lbs would play alot better for sure - i can see how it can work well, probably get an extra 10-15% booster in power , but you'd just have to be a little more disciplined when you pull the trigger i imagine
