    This video is from 4 years ago so you probably won’t see my comment, but I just wanted to say that I appreciate your videos so much. I am in seventh grade, and joined my middle school colorguard this year ( so I am a first year). Apparently every year we have to do a project type thing, where you design your own uniforms, equipment, and floor, and you also have to choreograph a routine from a song of your choice. This project is due in like one week and I don’t really have anything pulled together, so your videos help me with choreography. Keep spinning, love ya!

      +Faith Shultz we have LOTS of easy moves! The one you are looking at here is a level 3 move. The thumbnails for each level match, so anything with this thumbnail is level 3.

    Where do u get your silks

    • @SpintronixGuard
      @SpintronixGuard  9 лет назад +1

      That's a good question... we get them from all over! The one in this video was a gift from one of my instructors at the Blue Stars. The ones we are currently using in the 2015 indoor guard are from theguardroom.com, and I often purchase used silks there or from guardcloset.com. When I want brand new custom screen-printed silks the folks at FJMinc.com are the most talented and quick to get back with you, but if I want a traditionally pieced flag custom made I'll go through mccormicksnet.com because theirs are the most durable. I buy all of my practice silks, poles, and tips from americanbandaccessories.com because they are close to us and it's easy to pick them up right away. Happy shopping!

    Hi I just checked out you channel it's really amazing and super helpful! Next year I'm hoping on taking color guard! I have a question for you. Do you have to know some routines before going into color guard or will they teach you for a little and then addition you?? 😊hope you can help me! Ew that spider looks really cool but really gross 😂

    • @SpintronixGuard
      @SpintronixGuard  9 лет назад +1

      Sophie The Husky The way that we operate is you come in already knowing some basics and we teach a routine that involves using those basics. The only time you might have to come up with a routine on your own is if you are auditioning for a solo. I know lots of guards do their auditions differently though, so make sure you check with the instructors before auditions so that you know what you need to do! Happy spinning! :-)

      Sophie The Husky At our high school program, we do a Spring clinic which runs for 10 weeks. There we teach you the basics, plus a short audition routine. This way, we get to evaluate your work ethic and track your improvement or lack of. We like to think of your entire experience in the clinic as your audition, even though there is a formal one at the end. Most of our members come in not knowing anything, but are still successful!
