I went 20 years ago...we didn't need the accuplacer or teas just a small entrance exam. The only math you need is proportions and drop factors. I've been an LPN 20 years and never used anything but what I mentioned.
Omg me too, I’m here just because I need to retake math for my entrance exam for the LPN program 😩
Thought I'd drop by to leave a huge "thank you" on this video! In order to qualify for dual credit classes, I had to achieve a certain score on this test. I missed that score by one point the first time, but I retook the test and made up for the one point (and then some!) after watching this video in its entirety a few times. You explained things so clearly and reinforced the concepts by which I was previously so confused. THANK YOU!

What is the difference between the accuplacer math study guide and the next generation accuplacer math study guide? I'm reviewing for my placement test.

I don’t understand this next gen accuplacer. I’ve been watching a lot of practice test videos about it and I find all this stuff super easy but when I took the test I only placed into college algebra... (I wanted to place into at least precal )

It might be because of this: *Actual ACCUPLACER test questions will vary in difficulty based on how you do on each question, so continue to practice and prepare yourself for test day.* That is what says the accuplacer app when you're done with a practice test. I think it means in the real test if you fail one question the next one will be easier, which means that it is not possible to ''prove'' that you're capable of precal level because they give you easy questions after fail one. I don't really know, I'm just wondering. Hope you do well next time!

for questions like on 57:03 is there any other ways to find -23 and 12 but not dividing 276 like 12 times to find that it equals to bx? Is there any other shortcuts? or do i really just have to divide like 12 times 276 by hand?

Why was the accuplacer way harder than all the practice reviews I’ve seen online??? Swear I felt so stupid going in thinking I was prepared and given something difficult that I couldn’t solve. Ruined my motivation to go to school.

@time 20:00 By your definition of an asymptote, shouldn't the exponential function's asymptote be X=0 and not Y=0 because it crosses the Y axis? And vice versa for the logarithmic function?
By definition, in horizontal asymptotes as x→∞, y→0. So, in an exponential function, the graph will approach a specific line as y values approach zero.
the horizontal asymptote is at y=0 such that the x-axis is never touched. Think of it in terms of coordinates: (x,y); y=0 in all cases such that the x-axis is not touched. So, if the asymptote is AT y=0, then said asymptote would never be touched by the function. So the asymptote is (infinity, 0). I had a bit of trouble as well with that.

Highest is 300 but I
Most school will accept anywhere from 230 to 250 to place in college math. 275 ish is pretty high unless your a blessed genius
