One of the best defensmen to ever put on a Hawks jersey. As a Hawks fan, who watched you guys win 3 cups in 6 seasons, I want to say thank you. You're a class act, and warrior. Wishing you all the best in retirement.
Also, a big thank you to the Oilers for giving Duncan the opportunity to hold this press conference.

Thank you Duncan for an amazing career. You were one of the most foundational pieces in bringing hockey glory back to Chicago the past decade. When I started following you more closely in 2006-07 the Hawks were even less than mediocre... but three seasons later they were Cup champs, and added two more in the following five years. Exciting times and thank you lots! You were one of the best examples of hard work and determination that I've ever witnessed in the game of hockey.. it was something special getting to see you play along with all the other champs. Happy that you get to be more with your son and family up in Alberta. Wish you well and God bless./Hawks fan in Sweden.

Love Duncan Keith. He gave everything he had. Two Norris trophies, conn smythe, 3 Stanley cups, 2 gold medals, and 1 World Cup. As a Blackhawk fan living in PA he was responsible for so many great memories and helping me solidify my love of hockey. What he did in the 2015 playoffs when Rozival got hurt and was basically doubled shifted every game was insane. Nobody deserved a a MVP more.

I wish he played 1 more season here but I totally understand why he decided to hang them up. First ballot hall of famer 100% ! Enjoy retirement Duncan Keith! :D You deserve it!

He chose to go to Edmonton to be closer to his son & cultivate a closer relationship w/him after he & his ex divorced & she moved north with Colton. A lot of boys and men would give anything to have a dad like that. As a die hard Hawks fan (I have a red #2 jersey hanging in my closet), I will always love and respect him as a hockey player. He was an absolute warrior. But I respect him even more for being a good dad.
