I loved her answer though “if u think it’s wasteful then u drink it” he wasn’t mad she was wasting a drink he was mad she was wasting perfectly good roofies that I’m sure weren’t cheap or easy for him to get. But if he doesn’t wanna drink it then just flip it on him and be like is there some reason u don’t wanna drink it cause I feel like it is very very suspicious if u don’t drink it

The story with the camper with a bad acid trip where Joel suddenly changes to a scary voice suddenly shook me up as I was almost falling asleep 😅😅😅
I'm going through a pretty deeply wounding excruciatingly painful heartbreak from the abrupt ending (on his end not mine)of my 11 year relationship, the only thing keeping my mind from wandering off into thoughts that drive me to self destruct is listening to your videos. Ive been playing them literally from the time I wake up to when I go to bed, seriously thank you for the high quality and quantity of content you put out. I still have my moments where I get sad about it all and cry but it's because of your content that I'm not spending every single day, minute, and hour in bed doing nothing but cry and miss the person I've built my whole life around, and planned every bit of my future with. Thanks to your content I'm able to get up and get every day things taken care of, which doesn't sound like hard work but I've just been hurting so bad emotionally, it makes every day tasks feel like agony. i went through a rough breakup last year of 4 years, it’s good to try and distract yourself with things you enjoy! I also listened to scary stories, and it helped me a lot too. Things will get better eventually, just take one day at a time, you’re going to grow so much as a person and I know that you’ve got this. Keep positive thoughts in your head, and if some days you can’t then that is fine too, start with baby steps until eventually down the line you’ll be on top of the world I promise you (:

Joel usually picks good narrators that don't make me groan when the voice switches but you're one of the only youtube narrators I've heard (you, Joel, and Mortis Media) who speaks just the way that simultaneously soothes me and keeps me on edge, has perfect pacing and speed, and pauses at exactly the right time. I'm autistic and very picky, so it's always a joyous occasion when I find someone I like!

that first story really hit home for me. I work in health care and last week I walked into one of my residents room and found them not alive anymore. it was completely unexpected.

I agree with the narrator on the last story, that monster should have gotten more punishment. RIP those poor children and the father 😔😭

God, the first story breaks my heart…my boss had a heart attack and passed away at work a few months ago. I was comforting him, rubbing his back as we waited on the ambulance…we watched them drive away, turn the corner, and stop on the side of the road. He died right there, minutes after he had just been speaking to me. My heart breaks for you OP because if I hadn’t been around to hear my boss screaming for help, my situation would be very similar to yours…..
If I had gone around a quiet roundabout twice in the bad side of town and someone followed me, that's the point I'd know something was up. Now, I understand doubting yourself, but I find it so funny that they felt the need to flex that they listen to stories like their own and are savvy, and then continued to be so relaxed and ignorant about it. I'd be paranoid af. It frustrates me when people tell these stories and list every instance that they noticed something was wrong and STILL ignored it all. Not knowing how to deal with it is one thing, but looking back and saying "Huh... Interesting" and then ignoring it is another lmao.
They also conveniently went from being the type person no one would want to mess with to being a “ young kid alone on the bad side of town”

I definitely don't lol idc if I look stupid, rather look stupid than be dead imo. I've crossed streets, changed my routes, went into stores I don't care about, whatever. I'm not taking a chance, especially since I don't drive. Way easier to abduct a pedestrian than someone in a car

The stalker story makes me so angry, because a guy could do something like this 'as a joke' and forget all about it the next day, but for a girl it's a life-altering experience :/

I don't understand why the person in the second story says there would be a police report to verify it if not for circumstances, but also changes the names and locations of the story so you couldn't verify either way

Never have the bartender pour out a drink you think might be drugged. Call the cops right there. The guy might have left, but chances are the place has cctv, and they have his face. The cops might be able to charge him with something and plaster his face everywhere to keep other people from falling victim to it. Always save the drink.

the Gary story is the first "out in the woods" horror story I've heared where they were actually heavily armed, I've never even heared of people who don't carry when they're out in the woods until I started listening to these types of stories...If your going to be way out in the woods trust me, carry a fucking gun.
I say this on damn near all these woods/camping stories. It baffles me the amount of people that go in the woods without a gun.
i think a big part of these stories didn’t take place in the US… therefore no guns unless they’re licensed hunters or something

You post 3 days a week?! I’ve been requiring stories to sleep for a long time now due to trauma and bad memories that, of course, surface the moment I become still and for whatever reason, it’s scary stories that help the most. But I’ve yet to find the perfect “reader,” they’re always voices I don’t particularly love, aren’t the best at reading, read too fast, etc…but perfection has been found! And you post frequently too! I don’t know how I never found your channel before, it’s truly astonishing that I haven’t yet, but you’ve got a new (very grateful) sub.

I may be crazy myself, but I would have called ty to the camp. My homie could have went and hid with Gary just to be safe, but I'm not about to knowingly let someone wander thru the woods tripping that hard.
I've also dealt with ppl freaking out on psychedelic a few times, so I can see why the two in the story and why most wouldn't.

7 really annoyed me, im glad she’s safe and was smart but assault is about power and opportunity. you can be old, young, disabled, fit, male, female, and be treated as a target because predators only want to get away with their crime as easily as possible. self confidence is a struggle, but you’re not safer if you perceive yourself to be unattractive and unattainable
if anything people who feel bad about themselves and feel isolated, especially teens and kids, are the easiest targets. not people who feel confident and good about themselves

Jfc and the 2nd story?! Did someone go into my head?! My brother and his friends were camping and took mushies, and one of the guys they were with snapped! He chased them through the forest screaming that he was going to kill them, other people in the campground started waking up and wondering what was going on…I have no clue how the cops weren’t called. How horrific!

The 10th (?) story reminds me to be so grateful for the crazy ass dogs the belong to the family I babysit for. I’m a 5’2, 21 year old girl and I look young enough people give me funny looks when I take the baby out shopping (assuming I’m a teen mom ig). If anyone is near the house they let me know right away and definitely would make weirdos nervous. They’re giant babies and the one is a big lazy old man, but they’re pit mixes so super intimidating if you aren’t used to them.
I fell asleep during the first story and woke up to stories I recognized. Turns out I clicked another video while sleeping. Thanks for knocking me out!

I feel like there’s a joke here that I’m missing out on, as I don’t use Reddit or really engage with people on the internet: this video, plus some chap called Lazy Masquerade, seem to post these readings. Usually from sites like Reddit or such. They’ll reference the videos as “real” when they’re clearly not, it’s just people attempting to write poor quality stories. It’s all very strange. I’m guessing the “real” part is a joke? Those people don’t seem to understand that even fictional stories marked as such as just as interesting. Reminds me when I was a kid and we’d pass short stories (usually horror themed) around school, and anyone that read the story would write their name on it and pass it around some more.
Story 5 plot twist: the hotel guest is Gabriella from story 2 and the man brought sparkling water because he was SO thirsty...

Ok. I'm a little freaked now. I moved into this new old house I'm renting last month. It's from like the 1920s or something. I'm not going to be here long, 6 months give or take. I wasn't going to unpack much.
I started with cleaning the kitchen - it was filthy, caked in grime. While I was cleaning the cabinets on one side, the back panel SLID OPEN revealing a cavity. Much grosser than the rest of the kitchen. I slid the panel closed and TIED the cabinet doors closed. I'm not storing anything in any of the cupboards in this house. They're all tied shut with wire.

For the poor gal that was stalked to her apartment, I understand why she didn't call the cops. They would have done absolutely NOTHING and sent her on her little way saying, until he stabs or maims or murders you, we cant do anything. It would have been pointless. Honestly, I would never call them either, I would have armed myself and taken real good care of the problem. Baseball bat, table leg with spikes in it, something that would really mess him up. A gun might also work very well to solve the problem, but she would likely have been charged, not the pervert.
The Gary story was scary don't get me wrong, but damn I couldn't stop thinking of Fallout 3. Garrrry!
