Blazar is the first ultra in reiwa that i actually watch week to week while it air. Z i didn't watch until the show ended, Trigger i dropped it after like 5 episode, Decker i dropped around the same episode but pick it back up again when in near finale. Blazar is just so good to watch, kinda wish it was longer...
I wasn't so sure about this show until the monster mother episode and it makes me feel like Gento was the right man for the job. We didn't need form changes here and it was fine that the final form Frdradon armor wasn't this over the top or fusion. We need to be different and that kind of thing is going to get old after awhile. Need I remind people that Ultra's like Max or Powered or Great or Ribut or Neos didn't have any form changes. Not even the Showa era had form changes so don't pretend that form changes have always been around and no they haven't.
form change started with Tiga and it became more and more obnoxious as the years went by so i'm glad Blazar tone it down and in exchange we got a bunch of new kaijus
I enjoyed Blazar a lot, not among my favorites but still solid. The cast was the best part. The things I didn't like: his final form. It just didn't work for me. I actually kinda missed form changes in general. I also felt that the ending was a bit rushed. Especially the part where Blazar separates from Gento at the end of the second to last episode only to immediately merge again minutes into the finale. But still a good show overall.
Do we have to have an over the top Ultra final form though where it doesn't fit here in a season that has no ties to the past seasons. Because that is starting to get old we need something different whether it works for you or not.
@@gregcervantes9268 yeah Taguchi said Blazar finale should've been the same duration as it's upcoming movie which is around 80 minutes. There so much stuff that he had to cut to fit the 20+ minutes and it really shows. Just like u i hope he able to release the extended cut one day
This was an amazing series. The Show was dope AND Holy COW i was waiting for a New series. No more ultra series bases of past series, AND like old ultras showing up. Just based of The New guys AND a New perspective. And this was so GREAT
This is the first Ultra I've watched all the way through and it's amazing. The swordsman episode both almost made me sad and had one of my favorite Blazar moments (when he gets his sword charged), the Insurance episode is great, and it's good to see the Terror Dopant get work after Museum went under. The Kaijus were awesome too.
What I like about this is that aside from the fact that he's Ultraman, the Ultra Host is not portrayed as someone special who is expected to accomplish a great task. Until the final episode, the entire thing remains as his 9-to-5 shift. He's like all of us, trying hard to do our jobs everyday except that he can transform into an Ultraman.

ULTRAMAN BLAZAR IS SO GOOD
The next Ultraman trademark has already been revealed: Ultraman Ark/Arc? I forget how it's spelled, but yeah

Yeah I've heard that the director said that the finale was cut short just to fit the time slot. Oh imagine an extented cut of the finale.

Correction, Venastoise.
