Nice set up man, I’ve been running the wasp Cassette hub now for nearly two years and still love it. I want to get my hands on a front wheel soon as it’s currently out of stock in the uk been wanting a set for ages that will complete my bike

Yep, chain stays are the correct position for a (u) brake.

Pintour's will be fine, Contour's are a great upgrade but if you already have Pintour's just run them for now an see how you go.
