Who wrote the title here? She's not a 'different' suspect. She isn't a suspect at all!
Exactly!!!
They don’t care because it’s a black person. This world is sick as heck.
Facts can this be fixed please
I was just coming here to comment on the same thing. The caption needs to be changed immediately & an apology to follow.
She shared the same name as the suspect, that’s why
They actually gave her a $5 BOND? They KNEW it wasn't her!
That's $5 more of bond than New York would give somebody they knew was the criminal
There's a guy in jail in my county and his bond is $1. He has other bonds adding up to over half a million but one of his bonds is literally $1.
@stevenroshni1228 what does the state of New York have to do with this story?
That part 👆🏽
But they STILL wanted money!!! 😂🤣😆
She must be compensated and a public apology.
Facts
Exactly 🎯💯💯👍
Wow she definitely deserves a public apology. This I'm sure had her stressed and has made her look bad by people that don't know the truth . I hope she gets an apology and whatever else is far . ❤
Why would she even need to go to the judge and ask for the arrest to be expunge from her record if they realize they had arrested the wrong person, eventually. This system is corrupt.
Been corrupt thus us not new smh
It's a F**K Up system.
All systems are corrupt, political, school, medical, media, justice. there is nothing in this world that isn’t corrupt or failing
@@tamril4938.... Not true.... Any system designed by mankind is corrupt.
You know why. Stop playin
So the question is who’s gonna pay her?
The citizens
city of course.
Keep up that day dreaming ...& Wake up !!!
Well, they took all of my tax money for Isreal, so it has to be someone else.
Exactly!
Jacqueline Smith has to be an EXTREMELY common name....the fact that they didn't dig further after her denial is insane.
Exactly!! They knew what they were doing!!
Yeah DOB could have been a place to start. Also sad, they felt she owed a $5 bond. I am glad things worked out for her.
Indeed. Jaclyn Smith was one of Charlie's Angels!
That Part .. 😔🙏🏽💪🏾
Yeah someone describe me to someone when in the wrong place at the wrong time and they arrested me searched the house whole 9 yards ! Then let me go cuz I was the wrong person yes she should be compensated!
Now imagine the stress, fear, anxiety, depression, humiliation and more she went through because of their mistake!
DON'T FORGET THE FACT SHE HAD TO BE AWAY FROM HER FAMILY ESPECIALLY HER BABIES!!!!💔💔💔💔
Yea, and those lingering effects
She'll get paid greatly if she sues.
So sad 😔
They should be held accountable for their so called mistake. 😮😮😮
This is insane and she's keeping a much better attitude about it than i would.
Definitely, I would've hired a lawyer asap.
Shouldn't she be compensated for emotional stress and hardship. She should sue the city, county and state for defamation.
Yes ! This happened to me too, in a somewhat different manner.
Baby I’d already be lawyered up and suing

I would sue too. Of course the police see’s no wrong doing of inaccurately accusing and locking up an innocent person smh
Because money makes everything better.

Sue both counties! Wrongful arrest, pain and suffering and monetary damages!
As somebody who was arrested because of false allegations, I can tell you she will never get over what happened to her. To this day, I have PTSD from it. Not so much being in jail that was fine, but I no longer feel safe in my own home. When I was arrested, they pulled me out of my home and handcuffed me so every time I hear a knocking while inside my home I immediately start to panic.
Well said.
My wife cheated on me with a cop and to get rid of me, they drugged me and tried to kill me. I had a paid off house and about $150k in the bank. Now I'm broke and living with my parents.
When i reported it, the cops didn't believe me and called me crazy. I left my home in fear. About a week later, i was arrested and charged with a felony and a misdemeanor, and I never committed a crime. I did 7 months in jail and when i got out, it took me 3 months to find a job other than fast food. Even McDonald's wouldn't hire me. Sonic did. I have a CDL and even the truck companies want 3 years from the felony charge date.
I'm still having hallucinations from the drugs they gave me. My doctor said she thinks it was a combination of Fentanyl and liquid LSD, by how i described it. It really hurts when someone tries to kill you, mentally and physically. I feel for their families.
@@JustLikeHeaven77That’s horrifying. I’m sorry you had to deal with that. Got me thinking about all the people wrongfully convicted that are in prison for 20+ years.
@sunnyblue1244
Yeah. In the jail that I was in, there were three more people with almost the same story. Even the CO's commented that they've heard that before.
Pray, ask God to deliver 🙏 the fear from you, something that shouldn't have happened. God answers Prayers.❤

Police need to be held accountable for making life impacting errors.
I agree 💯💯💯❗
Agreed
I know that right
This falls on the detectives and records department. It goes deeper than the surface.
YEAH FOR REAL 🙏 !!!
Did they check the birthdate, birthplace, and addresses? Did they do their job? NO!! The family should sue and sue hard.

It's still on her record it's never gone smh
May the Lord bless you and give you and your family peace!!😢❤❤❤❤
No, And they can be wrong all day and twice on Tuesday. Welcome to AMERIKKKA

How are the officers not at fault? Even if both women have the same name, they have different physical descriptions, social security numbers, etc. The police should do their due diligence; It’s too costly not to. I hope she gets every blessing she deserves going forward.
Hallelujah
In other words she just won the Civil Suit Lottery. Congrats Ms. Smith
Like usual when officers mess up they take no responsibility
Yes like aways 😢
Especially if you are black
This is everywhere. They want you held accountable but not them, smh.
@@sbolingtay06 if qualified immunity gets abolished and if an officers that quits while they're being investigated the investigation continue and ignorance of the law is no longer a reasonable excuse for police officer we would see officers stop violating people's constitutional rights or even breaking the laws.
First, I'm on her side and glad this is cleared up BUT Technically, (and they said this) the VA Beach police weren't the problem...the B-more Police flagged the wrong person on he original warrant. And as someone mentioned, the name is definitely common any the real one may have lied about where she was from.(No surprised) The "record" had her name when it shouldn't. That's why expungement was required That said, I would sue B-more Police down to their boots.🧐🤔
She should sue. This can have a psychological effect on a person. They need to know that there are people with same name.
Oh she will she just hit the black lottery didn't hear her say how blah blah this was, lawyer speak.
She better
🙄🤡
Go to California and there are hundreds of John Nguyen. My husband got profiled cuz he is Asian. I'm sure if they were to ever look up his name, there will be plenty of the same name and dumb reason to arrest him too.
@@burning4rmwithin Gee very common last name in VietNam. Here the blacks are named after colors, or the President.
Someone owes this lovely lady a sincere apology and restitution! Whether authorities believe it was their wrongdoing or not, it’s still possible to set it right-ish. It actually feels good to do the right thing. It’s absurd for agencies to investigate themselves. No credibility there. Expunging “her” record that was not hers is as absurd as it is laughable. This is a beautiful family working hard, raising a family and being good citizens.
Someone needs to be held accountable for this mistake.
This should not have happened.
Whoever made the "error" in creating the wrong warrant should be held accountable. And this lady should be compensated for the trauma and inconvenience caused to her.

Ya it’s the “we investigated ourselves and found no wrongdoing” defense 🙄 that’s part of the problem!
They knew it wasn't her ,this makes me so sick. Useless police .
This is LAZY & criminal policing. LAZY police should be on desk duty studying & learning how to research. 🤷🏾♀️ Having the same name is common, it takes 5 minutes of RESEARCH for the police to determine which person with that name & PICTURE they are looking for. SUE THEM Sis. 🙏🏿🙌🏾
😢😢SUE THEY/EVERYBODY GET SUED SIS
Hope she sues.. I know that has to be draining and exhausting 😮
Amen
Did you not listen??? The warrant was for her. So the police thought they had the correct person. It was Baltimore who signed the warrant for the wrong person. The arresting officers did no wrong. How were they supposed to know Baltimore made a huge mistake?
I think that’s exactly why we all have individual social security numbers for background checks. She is right, it would have still only taken a few minutes to determine if they had the right person whether it was the same name or not. That’s why the judge dismissed it because what she was saying checked out by the background check; via the social security number it showed she wasn’t the person they were looking for… I could be wrong though.
Just like they never did anything wrong...
They should be held accountable, like the rest of us!
Relax. This happens more often than you think. There are many people that have the same name. Unfortunately, she shared her name with a criminal.
@jonasandezekiel1109 that's true cause it happened to me but I file a law suit and got a settlement along with expunged record.

Up to you. You don’t pay my bills or work for me. You hire me , 900 + rides 800+ are male you didn’t love
The courts in Baltimore are responsible for this mess. The police were just doing their job. I'm guessing that a fingerprints set her free as it stated that she had never been arrested before. So she had no fingerprints in a criminal data base. If she sues it will be against the city of Baltimore and their incompetent left leaning democratic party policies. So yah.☮️
Good judge for knowing the truth he did not stretch it out.
So are you saying that all jacklynn Smith has the same D O B
I once worked in HR. We'd have multiple people with the same name, even the same middle name, even the same DOB. I also know of a chap with the same name and DOB as another in the same locality. The banks and pharmacists would mix them up. They would exchange prescriptions and even handover cash owed to the other. It's not always the names you'd expect either. This is why you've got to be so careful.
I hope this lady receives compensation.
Fix the title she suffered enough she is not a suspect! She’s the victim!
The news is Always getting it wrong. That's why I repeatedly block ALL NEWS channels on RUclips. Somehow more keeps popping up on my timeline.
Um do you not know what a suspect is? lol
I hate when they do that trickery with story lines
You, LOL 😅
How could they find no wrong doing when they wrongfully arrested the wrong woman? Wrong, wrong, wrong. They deserve a lawsuit.
I'm assuming that VA Beach Police only executed the warrant - they didn't create it. So, Baltimore County would be at fault for not specifying the suspect through other identifiers (e.g., picture, age, weight, car, etc.)
Bs she needs an Attorney
What I find strange is how there can be no wrong doing when they wrote a warrant for a suspect based on certain addresses that had nothing to do with this lady, but in order to arrest her they would have needed to find her meaning some level of investigation was done into where she would be.
How did they fail to discover that she wasn't linked to the addresses of the actual suspect?
I think that the police department should be investigated for incompetence since if we assume that what the "no wrong doing" means is that none of this was malicious, then it's still terrible as other cases could have been ruined or remain unsolved due to this.
@@CandiceGoddard, At the very least they should reimburse her for travel, lost revenue, court fees, hotel, car being towed, etc.
