Another awesome restoration. Well done. Love the use of the nail clippers to remove the pusher seals. I'm going to use this method too. Beats using a scalpel.
Makes me want to have a gold plated + gold color dial watch. That dial in particular is gorgeous. I find some charm to the scratches on the gold here. Wouldn't mind a solid gold neither though :) crazy price on gold nowadays.
Hello! I know this video is a couple years or now but I am very curious of recommendations to get mine restored. I have one that I got many years back that I would love to restore at some point. The only thing wrong with it that I can tell is one button being stuck. Appreciate the very detailed video it’s pretty amazing to see how much detail goes into these.
I just bought this exact watch! A 6139-6015. The only thing that appears wrong is the pushers are stuck. Its in very similar condition to this one. I only paid $120 for it. I am very happy
So excited to get this back, well worth the wait.
Thank you! I sincerely appreciate it.

Awesome! Thank you! Yes, the nice thing about clippers is that you can avoid touching the metal under the gasket, which is a sealing surface.
Another enjoyable video and beautiful watch..
Many thanks!
There’s something just so charming about those jangly folded-link bracelets, perhaps the gold plating even accentuates the effect in this case!

Wooooo ! That would look sick with a black anodized case ...... :D
That's a great idea, especially if it was Seiko's new ion coating over stainless.
That fingerprint is what the CSI folks call a "partial".
Love that Seiko used black day and date wheels on this one.
Can you suggest a stainless steel 6139 case that the dial and hands from the 6015 would look good in?
Excellent video, as always
Hi Spencer,
I know jewels are used because they withstand wear better. Do they also have less running friction than a pivot without a jewel installed?
Yes they do, absolutely.
Great video!! greetings from Mexico
Glad you enjoyed it!
I am going to show my wife and son this video just to prove to them I am not the only person who says " dont buy anything made on a Monday or friday "
Old old saying I think.
Hey I can attest to this saying. I work for an auto manufacturer. You can definitely take this saying to the bank.
How much does it cost to service this watch?
That watch is identical to the one pogue wore in space but slightly different dial indices and hands I think it's a seiko speed timer
Nice to watch. Too bad the microphone is picking up all the tool noise when stashing them
Yeah I know. I work in Grand Central.
