- A fundamental principle of good animation is getting a sense of overlapping action (drag, overlap, lead & follow, etc.) In this video I try to get right down to the nuts and bolts of how it works- regardless of the medium. CG, hand drawn, stop-motion-- it's all the same when you understand what you're trying to do.
hey amorgan 17 thats a really nice comment but this guy is the great Keith Lango. He is already an established master of education in terms of animation. :) many thanks for tutorial KL
You r my new hero! Thanks so much for these tutorials.
Awesome....You are great
i owe you my LIFE; ive been trying to animate a dragons tail (the dragon is hovering, and due to the force of the wings the body is pushed up and down, causing movement that im trying to continue in the tail) and ive redrawn it so many times; this is gonna help so much!!!!
I knew everything until this (7:58) part. that popping tip you showed was really nice.
thanku very much keith 4 adding this video...i m ur big fan studing animation
you should totally teach at an art/animation school and make some money from this.. I would lovvvve to have this kind of teaching at my art school. you can get paid a lot too if they're a private art school! Look into it.. don't let your awesome teaching skills go to waste. You're great at explaining animation. Oh and the comments about 'you explain too much in the first 5 min..' don't listen to them.. Simple animation concepts need to be communicated with a descriptive breakdown! Thank you!
you are the man keith!
Thanks for sharing this video. It's made my animation better already.
wow! thanks so much for explaining this! i've been trying to wrap my brain around this for a while!
this video is old but still very useful
thank you man
Amazing as always!
Thanks..man All your tutorials are really helpfull!
it really does help a lot thank you so much!!!!!! i was stuck on my homework
I don't know if you know it BUT~ for the first 5 min I have heard you repeat what it is you are going to do 4 times.~ Very annoying .
OTHERWISE~ Thanks .... Very helpful and interesting.
Oh My God!!! Thank you so much!!! That is all I need it!!
Can someone please explain how I would approach the arms with this method? I'm still having a terribly difficult time getting the arms to look realistic. The arms look so robotic. The arms don't bend like a chain.
Is this part of the dvd series you released?
Hey Albert. Think Keith might be using annotate pro? A free version called Screenmarker exists
hi Keith can u tell me where can i download those rigs?
tnx for the tutors!!!!!!!
So useful !!! THANKS!!!!!!
muchas gracias!!
that helps a lot, thank You!
It would be even better if you showed from the start with how you made the object then move on to the animation part of it.
Another option to Annotate Pro is a freebee thing called EpicPen
thenk you so mach boy!!!
Great but your video cuts out before you show how to make it swing left.
repetition is the mother of skill.
Thx video!thanks a lot!
Hey I know, not really a fair comment in the 1st place, sorry.
A point tho' ~ "may add" ~ at least, please take it that way.
Desire ! is the Mother of skill....... repetition and or practice... is *HER*~PRICE.
this is great thank you a lot for sharing...
