    It's just irresponsible to want Ohtani to pitch this year. He isn't disposable.

  • @whyoowhy
    @whyoowhy 2 дня назад +23

    no don't make ohtani pitch this season. he hasn't had a spring training, probably doesn't have command right now. don't try to rush him back from major arm surgery, he's too valuable to the game of baseball to risk anything happening to his arm

      If they make it to final national league west, I think he doesn't mind since he wanted to go world series and win so much

    @samurai_8917 2 дня назад +13

    They need to give him the rest of the year off, rushing people back is what causes these more frequent arm injuries. Like Glasnow, he got pushed too hard too fast and now hes done for even more time

      You wouldn't use Shohei in the 7th game of the World Series as a reliever similar to the WBC moment against Trout. I would if Shohei and the medical staff think he is healthy enough and performance wise.

      @@George-f8hi mean i guess it does depend on how deep they go, there is plenty of scenarios where it would make sense for him to go but he needs to be on a 1 inning limit probably every other game.

      @@edomarpez1840 Of course he shouldn't pitch if he has no command. That's why I said he has to be healthy and performance wise.

    Randy was celebrating his fourth successive 20/20 season, he can celebrate as hard as he likes IMO... Not to mention he gets HBP a ton so it might as well be for a good reason for once 😅

    I agree. Randy’s celebrations sometimes cross the line. It’s a well known that many Japanese baseball fans think he’s cocky/arrogant and don’t like him either. Also, it’s not even the celebration, I remember the 3 balls, and him stepping out of the box. I have never seen that before. I love bat flips and a dance here and there after a pivotal play but cmon, play ball, you ain’t even an all-star lol

    Why do we bother with the DH to relief problem? Simply amend the existing DH rule for Ohtani once again by MLB so that he can play anywhere at anytime he likes. 🤑

      I lowkey wanna see him on the right field next year lol. But I agree, MLB should just amend the Ohtani rule.

    If you tell me the Big Sho is going to be the “opener” for game 7 of the World Series, maybe. I still wouldn’t do it but if anyone can it’s Otahni. He’d still be my last option.

    Let them celebrate. Baseball is boring. Old man sports that no one watches and no one plays. At least people play golf even if they dont watch. let the players CELEBRATE like NFL.
