- Y'all Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is the first video game I ever played when I was like 5 or 6. The series means a lot to me even if I haven't played all the games. This movie looks like it's doing so much right and I can't waaiiitt!!
Also yes i misspoke about the master emerald because i was excited and I'm aware Knuckles has been an antagonist. I meant I wasn't expecting them to go that route in the movie. This isn't the games. It's difficult to share every single little thought you have about something in a 3 minute reaction video :P We talked about the movie for like 20 minutes afterwards.

Knuckles worked for Robotnik in Sonic 3 (my all time favorite game when I was growing up) so it’s faithful to Knuckles’ original introduction. By the end of Sonic 3, Knuckles realizes he was duped and helps Sonic. That’s probably the master emerald shown in the trailer. In the game, Knuckles is the guardian of it.
Truly that is a small master emerald but ya know I see the reason why it would take a lot longer to make it bigger
@@Jinjerthesayian Maybe a bit small, but I remember the chaos emerald being basically fist sized. We’re used to seeing the master emerald next to character like Sonic so next to humans might make it feel smaller.

I am so excited for this! Knuckles working for Robotnik is perfect since that's pretty much what happened in Sonic 3. This trailer put such a huge smile on my face! 😁
But we all know that knuckles is going to get betrayed by robotnik and joining Sonic

Knuckles was tricked by Eggman in Sonic 3, Sonic Triple Trouble, Sonic Advance 2, Sonic Adventure and probably in some other games XD
I love how in every reaction they forget knuckles originally was fooled by Eggman to fight Sonic in the games. This trailer was the best.
I didn't forget, I just meant i wasn't expecting them to go that route for the movie to make Knuckles a "villain" ^_^

Well if you remember the movie Sonic might have some beef with Knuckles because of his people attacking his bird mom

I think it would be weirder if Knuckles wasn't working for Robotnik, since it is literally how we were introduced to the character.

Knuckles helping Eggman is actually pretty game accurate. In the "Sonic and Knuckles" game, Eggman tricked Knuckles to help help him fight sonic.
That was freaking amazing by the way thats no chaos emerald that was the Master Emerald
@@johnsantos507 it's a movie they can do whatever they want with it it's the reason they're introducing knuckles it would be strange if they were introducing him with Chaos Emeralds rather than the Master Emerald plus it's been stated already that there would be no chaos emeralds in the movies

Knuckles' introduction is actually more faithful to the games than Tails' is.
With Tails, we just kinda see him, which I guess is the same as here. lol But the backstory is that Tails admired Sonic and then Sonic let him stick around because he was able to keep up with him.
With Knuckles, he's protecting the Master Emerald on his home, Angel Island. And when Robotnik decides to come and try and steal it, he gets Knuckles off his back by tricking him into thinking Sonic wants to steal it. So Knuckles is fighting you the whole time until he realizes Robotnik is the liar, and then he teams up with Sonic and Tails. From then on, they become a trio.
Well actually, remember, at the end of Sonic 2, the Death Egg crashes on Angel Island
@@catdaddy384 Well, it crash lands between the two games at least. But I don’t mention anything about the Death Egg because it has no relevance with what we know about this movie from the trailer alone. I’m merely referring to what inspired what we are seeing in the trailer for those who don’t realize this concept isn’t new.
But honestly if we see the Death Egg I wouldn’t be mad. I can picture it being a big deal for the third movie too. Because it could escalate the storyline from saving a small town to saving a city to saving the entire world. would prepare us for whatever they come up with to make Shadow feel right at home and also give us a chance to meet Amy and maybe Metal Sonic first too. Who knows.

This looks AWESOME. And seeing Sonic snowboarding, I hope they play Ice Cap Zone's banger theme music during that scene.
This looks great! It looks like there's a bunch of plot/level elements you see in the games; Tails getting shot down in his plane lol, snowboarding, Knuckles being tricked by Robotnik (if they have his change of heart like it was done in Sonic & Knuckles it will be perfection)
just seeing the Chaos Emerald, the Egg-mobile, Knuckles and Tails piloting the Tornado was fantastic. this movie is gonna be great.
still hoping for Mecha and/or Metal to be a teaser for the next movie~

It’s definitely not a chaos emerald though because they are smaller but yes it might be either the Master Emerald, in which it’s kinda small to be one, or a super emerald. I would love to see hyper sonic in this movie it would do justice to the 3rd game.

I think Knuckles has rings like Tails. And Knuckles travels to mushroom world and meets Robotnik.

That isn't the Chaos Emerald but The Master Emerald the one Emerald Knuckles guards.
Super Sonic Could potentially show up since we saw the master emerald, if he does end up in the movie it would be amazing.
The first film was a pleasant surprise. I really liked it. Excited for the second instalment.
Knuckles was with Dr Robotnik in Sonic 3 but get betrayed at the end so he became friends with Sonic. I think that's gonna be the same. And if at the end they talk about 5 other emeralds, then in Sonic 3 we could have Metal Sonic then Shadow to have one of the best enemies of Sonic. And to win, Sonic gonna have the 6 emeralds to begin Super Sonic.

Ngl I always thought the first one ok but it was a good stepping stone for other movies but THIS looks like it has alot more "Sonic" in it which I love.
Knuckles working for Dr.eggman is not weird if you think about Sonic the Hedgehog 3 game, basically this movie is Sonic 2 and 3 combine.

Technically, it is not weird. If you remember playing the original Sonic games. Knuckles would work with Robotnik but little did he know, he was being tricked by him.
I think thats the master emerald, that would explain why knuckles is involved in this, maybe the final fight is in space with super sonic.

If we're going to see Tails and Knuckles in this movie, Do you think we will see characters like Amy Rose in the third movie? Do you think lesser known Sonic the Hedgehog villains like Infinite, Lyric, Mephiles the Dark and the Deadly Six should get some time to shine like in this live action franchise?
