Thank you so much for your video!! I am an undergraduate doing research in condensed matter physics, and have been trying to understand zone melting on my own from a book from the 1950s. Your video gave me a moment of complete clarity, a very refreshing change, and things are starting to come together! Much appreciated!!

I've been searching relatively unsearched areas for certain minerals with one specifically being labradorite. This diagram presentation helps a lot, so thank you for the upload.

It would be lovely if you could do an example of how the Lever Rule works with the Binary Phase Diagram and the math behind it...
Other than that, this video is excellent in clearly explaining the core concepts!

Sir your videos have AWESOME CONCEPTUAL CLARITY ! Could you please upload some more Geology videos... I use youtube videos often for geology... and I can tell you that by far your videos are the best (even though only a few are there)... all relevant concepts are covered in a single video, and the explanation is such that it registers into the brain permanently. THANKS A LOT !

Serious question Dane. The material bounded by both the solidus and liquidus, would you call it "mush" or "crystalline mush"?

How many phases are there along the liquidis and the solidis ? because above or below is either 1 or 2 but what about along the curve itself ?
