Wow this is so heart breaking. I couldn't imagine what these families are going through. I myself am a father to a 17 year old son and couldn't imagine having to deal with something like this. Personally I knew the kid and he wasn't a bad kid or even one to be violent at all he was a straight A's student who was honor roll multiple times and it breaks my heart one of my friends since 5th grade would do this to someone he talked so high of and loved I wish I could've helped my friend but it's always too late when someone wants to help I see horrible comments that have made me lose faith in humanity completely because it's the"county,drugs,intelligence of the youth" but in order to make such bold claims you'd have to know the kid and who he was and it's truly heart breaking to see this in my hometown maybe if we focused on the mentality of today's youth something could've been avoided but everyone today is too shallow to see past there phone screens I sincerely pray for the families of my friend and his sister and the girlfriend to the sister

Growing up in 60s 70s 80s and this maniacal time of ours today does not make any sense yet growing up we knew our neighbors and common sense was with us all.Todays world common sense is not that common anymore.What a tragedy.
Technology was limited back then, there weren't a lot of Cameras, and not everyone had a portable cellphone that could record things. The 60s, 70s, and 80s Crimes haven't gone unnoticed, they're being solved in today's times. People are still being caught for Crimes that happened 40 years ago. Forensics is the game changer. The only reason people don't see this is because it's not constantly being reported on like it is done now. Back then local news only covered the crimes in their area, now it's broadcast everywhere from everywhere. The frequency of crime is about the same.
There was plenty of crime happening back then, it just wasn’t readily available via technology and social media. This, sadly, it’s not new and has nothing to do with the current decade we live in.

Even today, those who have lost loved ones at the hands of others understandably desire the death of those who committed the crime. We must be careful to interpret Psalm 137 in its historical context and apply it appropriately in connection with the full counsel of Scripture. It is a normal human desire to see justice done and for enemies to be defeated. However, Romans 12:17-19 commands, “Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: ‘It is mine to avenge; I will repay,’ says the Lord.” Psalm 137 is not a selfish prayer for personal revenge. It is a plea for God to intervene in the affairs of men to keep His covenant and right all wrongs.

We were teens during the 60's. By today's standards parents were overly strict (abusive ? ) but teen murders and suicides plus drug problems were very seldom few and far between while hardly ever being heard of ! Proof discipline at home and at school makes a far far better difference than the present !

There was one possible suicide and they are old enough to be left alone.
They are just giving what little details they had, police haven't given out all of the details because maybe family hasn't been notified yet.

How horrible. Look at the world we have given these children. It gets meaner and nastier every day. Knowing that the young man who did this had been bullied relentlessly and had mental health issues makes this tragedy sadder than ever. He needed help. Therapists in Texas LITERALLY have waiting lists right now. I assume it's covid related, who really knows. The government needs to do better and make mental health care a priority and more affordable. Teachers and administrators need to do better by stepping in and stopping the bullying that goes on all day every day. Don't tell me they do, because we all know better. Turning a blind eye is cowardly and lazy. We can all do better. Maybe if we did, things like this wouldn't occur. I wish I had known him. I wish I could've helped him. All he needed was a little help and maybe 3 lives would've been saved.
