I think Mongols fast Imperial is a legit strat in certain scenarios, not really a cheese. I had a game where I did a ton of eco damage to Mongols opponent who rushed Castle Age, but they were trading with my army using higher tech units and Springald Outposts. Then they went Imperial with Khaganate Palace, and in the situation where neither of us had a decent standing army the units from the landmark destroyed my eco at home and I had nothing to stop it.
@@maomaopvp Playing vs mass Mangudai Mongols feel like playing vs Zergs in SC2. They have complete map control, taking one step too far from safety results in losing your entire army to the swarm of their extremely mobile units who can disengage any moment and will cut your reinforcements, making sure they will eventually win the engagement. Meanwhile you are on a timer as they are outbooming you, with trade in Mongols case. In SC2 it forces people to harass Zergs with air units to slow them down, I guess AoE 4 needs Winged Hussars!
He probably had 0 military upgrades. But the fact that he did a 14 minute imperial and a massive army is insane. Is his army made of wood? Sheesh.
I saw the replay, he didn’t have any upgrade but the first thing he does is researching incendiary arrows, super weird
I played against this guy earlier this week. I was not expecting him to go imp that fast.
His imp was somewhere around 12:something.
He’s cooking

Yeah, I saw Demu the other day just trying mass mangudai in a pro game. He didn’t rush imperial tho
