I've been trying all afternoon to come up with a way to attach a new UBERFLEX hose in place of the dang awful hose the Greenworks comes with. Tried searching for a fitting but didn't realize the Ryobi existed until I saw this video. Got it ordered on Amazon. Still $10 bucks 2 1/2 years after your video. What a score! Thanks Merv, you saved the day and added a subscriber.
I have struggled to find a solution. I was just about to toss my good working pressure washer in the trash because the hose sprung a leak. Thanks Merv!
Great video Merv, I tried the link for the fitting and the page doesn’t exist anymore. Do you have any other links, or information about the fitting (Ryobi p/n, size, thread size/type,etc), or any other alternative? Thank you for your time.
This is exactly what I needed to see. Thank you for the great humor and detailed video. I will do just what you have done. Thanks again I will watch more like this. Don't worry - I will send flowers :) ha ha ha.. thank you
I’ve been stressing for so long wanting to get rid on the hose that comes with this power washer it’s junk! I’m so happy I came across this video. I will be doing this!
MERV!! I just discovered your channel and love it already. Im looking for a solution to a brand new dishwasher that worked for two months and now doesn’t work hardly at all. Has power and water but the dishes don’t get clean at all. What now?
Well, here's the sad truth. The newer dishwashers brag about being "water efficient". In common sense terms, this means they are not blasting your dishes with as much water as the old ones. It sucks to eat off dirty dishes but at least you can feel good knowing we are "saving the planet". :). But you say it worked for a while, so perhaps its something else. For example, we have a water softener at our house and I have noticed when it is need of more salt, the hard water just can't clean the dishes as nicely as the soft water. Hope this helps or at least gives you some ideas. -Merv Himself
What is the replacement hose size? Just ordered the fitting from ebay for 9.99, amazon jacked it to $18. Thank you! Much appreciated! What a terrible design #Greenworks, then to discontinue the hose, what a disposable business model.
Why the heck didn't you cut the tubing, and braze on a barbed fitting to attach a new hose to?? If you don't know how to braze....hose clamps work... slide the hose right over the copper tube, clamp the bejesus out of it.
Thanks my brother from another mother. Try as I May this F’in device won’t show me a more button for that Ryobi part number. Thanks Subscribed! The first 30 seconds of the vid was definitely the highlight.
Fired the ole 51012 up today for the first time in years and it still works, minus the detergent tanks. Any vids on a hack for this? Also, dumb question- Is it natural for the engine on one of these to make loud and short suction cycles if the water trigger is not depressed and sprayer not in use?
Thanks for the video, super helpful. Greenworks technical and customer support never answered my phone call or e-mail. I never never plan to buy another Greenworks product.
I need help reattaching the hose onto the hose coiling attachment. The hose is / was clogged and I removed the power hose from the unit and now I can't get it to reattach. It has a pin at the attachment. Seems like I can't get it to go in far enough for the pin to line up. Is there a trick to it that I am missing? Please help! Thank you very much!
This model I was workin' on required tearing apart because they no longer sell the special hose connection parts. But if you find out otherwise, please drop us a line and share with the group. Good luck and thanks for watching. -Merv Himself
There are several links right below the video. If you are watching on a streaming device you won't see them, but on a phone or cornputer, you just might need to click "SHOW MORE" to see the full description and all the links. Hope this helps. -Merv Himself

If ya like Margie, Hit my *SUPER THANKS* button!
I love little easy projects like this. Just a few cuts, dislocations and the rest of my gray hair falling out. I'm going for it.
WHAT ABOUT YOUR SAFETY GOGGLES?!?! OMG!!! ;-)
I see you are a long time follower!!
... and 6 pair of gloves! 🧤 🧤 🧤 🧤 🧤 🧤
How about removing the jhook from the old hose and cutting the nee hose and insert the j hook ? Not sure it'll work but what the hell
MERV!!

I don't even have a power washer im here to hear Margie's story lol
That Margie's such a poor, scrawny thing. I feel sorry for her.

The one I bought was called " 3200 PSI 25FT x 1/4 Inch Pressure Washer Hose - M22 14MM Replacement Hose "
Nice Job Merv!
Thank you! Cheers!

I've never saw a clamp hold anything about a pressure washer hose
I found an aftermarket fix. Not sure if it's worth $60 plus shipping.
Dang! Pricey.
That's what I thought. I don't think it's worth it. @@MervsServiceSecrets

I have so many questions, but don’t want to know the answers

I've heard mine do that too. Not sure why, but she works!
I have the same problem with a unit I just bought for $20 on OfferUp. The prospect of doing a Norman Bates on it to replace the hose isn’t appealing.
LOL. Gotta love the analogy.

The donut is a banjo fitting.
Amazing video! Very funny and so happy I don’t have to just toss this unit. I thank you sir
Glad you enjoyed it! Check out my Merch too! mervs-merch.creator-spring.com/?
Thanks for the helpful (and clever) video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
No worries, I'll marry Margie and take care of her.
Poor thing. She's so scrawny and pitiful. Needs a good spaghetti dinner.
