January 21, 2020 my precious son Matt hung himself. He was 48 years old. This song with David and the others got me through some rough days. We’ll talk it over in the by and by. Matt was so good to me and I miss him more than you can imagine. Thank you David, I’ve heard others sing this same song but not like you did. Please pray for me.

elder Bill and Gloria Gaither, I have been following the Gaither praise schemes since when I was in high school, now iam a grown man whose love and interest for the Gaither homecoming series has never ceased. I love the entire staff, songs, genre, classics, rendition, and the way every event is organised, I could say, I like and in fact iam a voluntary slave for the Gaither homecoming and GVB too, pls God bless you, and the praise project, and all these super singers that you have been able to recruit through out. one more request, its time to conduct Tanzania's Gaither homecoming project. Amen. thanks for every songs that you ve done, because, these songs have been a permanent blessing to me, friends, my family, and the entire God gearing Community.

As I was coming out of the coma, I heard the most beautiful caring voice of God say to me, "Do you want to come and live in Heaven with me?" I answered, 'No. I want to stay on earth." I was immediately supernaturally healed by God. "When we talk it over, He listens and responds. This wonderful song reminds me of many beautiful times with our God.
Such a wonderful song. It gives you a peaceful, sacred feeling. I've seen this GVB group and all five have beautiful voices, but, David, I must admit, brings a special warmth to my soul. I love the Hawaiian sound that they give this song! Beautiful!!

I was reading some of the comments written by other people and I agree with them all ..
Who can even listen to one song and not be spirituality not be affected ? I was a singer but I had 2 strokes , as far as,I KNOW the strokes were a repeat of the first one, having said that
I sang at churches , schools anywhere they wanted me ,but I noticed after the second one I
could hardly get a note out . I say these things not to brag on me
but to tell you,that I know music.........or thought I did until I first heard DAVID ! His singing is heavenly !Such an ethereal sound!!!

I have used to get annoyed at people on their diction. One song in particular is O HOLY NIGHT .
That song does not have an E AFTER FALL ON YOUR KNEES .

I heard from Bill Gaither himself on one of the earlier cds confessing that David Phelps is primarily responsible for the beautiful background harmonies that GVB is doing ...David Phelps is a genius...i heard him doing it with his own family concerts too
I've thought about that, Gaither was a great chance for David to get his talent in the public, as well as being a great update for Gaithers, BILL and Gloria are wonderful people, have helped many many musicians

David Phelps is a trained opera singer. He has a magnificent voice, but so do the rest of the singers. A gospel song is just a song, unless it's anointed by the spirit. Then....there is no song, or voice more beautiful.

I think he has one of the most pure voices around anywhere - his range is amazing. I love listening to him! I wish he was still part of the GVB too. They are all great, but David Phelps just always took it over the top.
I don’t miss David, i play the GVB most often before i fall asleep. They tranquillise me.
