Great video! Australia is definitely one country I'd love to visit. I'm going to subscribe to this channel! As a railfan (which is the American term for "trainspotter"), I love learning about the different train sets of Sydney trains! I love how they look so much more modern than our trains in the USA.
Thanks fo rthe video it looked a cracking day there. It is amazing to me that the new Mariyung sets are still not in revenue service. Is this because of the dispute about manning with the unions or some other problem. I cannot imagine how the COVID crisis has had such a deep impact on this as public transport has been maintained and so should not have had much of an impact. Do you have any idea on the issues behind this. It would be interesting to here your views.
@@richardsmith8654 Not exactly but on top of what you said about design flaws, if they actually designed the cab that the driver also takes the role of the guard (one-man operation), then he will need to not only concentrate on driving, but also monitor the passengers via CCTV, which could possibly be dangerous. If you think about it, it's a bit like watching RUclips videos while driving (even if the phone is on the dashcam)

Amazing video!
Great place to spot from, and thanks for recording :) Please try to shoot in a faster frame rate next time if possible.
The travelling public demand their new trains now!

It's probably only Union disputes at this moment. Once they've settled down the dispute then will the Mariyungs enter service
But I doubt these trains will even enter service. Huge design flaws in terms of manning the fleet could derail the project altogether
Thanks for the reply. I htought that they were designed to be operated with both dual crew and as driver only. Are there other design flaws?

But their is another flaw of the seats being misaligned against the windows
Are d sets in use now for the public or still being tested
We'll probably give it another 10...
...years till we board them 😛
