I'm also a JET. I was placed in Hannan and also need a car. My city is right on the beach which is similar to where I live now. I just hope everything goes well once I get there. Also, waiting for my departure date.

It's great to hear you finally got more information about your move! Also I think it would be cool to keep those (I already forgot the name of them) just as a reminder of all of your accomplishments on the channel!

@@DYCEQUIRK Nara’s amazing! I kinda envy you both for coming to Japan together. Haven’t been with my husband for more than a year coz of this “situation.” But ALTs coming in October is a good sign so we’re still hopeful. Hit me up if you and your wife visit Nara… 😉
Sadly, no. We had gotten everything done, including the titer blood test for both of them. It ended up costing us over $2000 for all the tests and chipping etc, and when we were finally prepping the cats for transport with an airline they told us we had 1 thing done out of order by about 2 days and would need to restart most of the process. 😮💨 In the future we may still make a video to help people with the process, but it definitely is a bit expensive and you really need to check all your dates and follow instructions exactly for it to work. Please let us know if you get them through :) If there is anything we can do to help please let us know. ( Also you can go directly through a pet transfer company, but they can be double the cost but they will help you go through the whole process, they wanted to charge us about $4000 for our 2 cats so we tried to do it ourselves which lead to us making a mistake e.e so it may be worth it, but that original $2000 would have personally been really useful for us here in Japan to be honest. It's possible for spouses to save money on JET, but it definitely is more tight for us vs other JETs. Just another thing I wanted to mention from one JET couple to another :)

I'm worried something like that will happen with us 😭 they both are already chipped with the correct chips atleast and I think they both just need the rabies booster and then the test plus the 180 day quarantine and the 40 day notice. If you put out a video about the process it would be so incredibly helpful. I'm trying to work with our vet to figure it out, but I'm gonna definitely look into the transport company and see if we can swing it. Currently my husband thinks he will have the opportunity to work remote which is good for income cuz we also have a 1 year old. Does your wife work at all there? I've heard it can be tricky to get around it come tax season lol
