the story behind this song is that one day han and seungmin were talking about the future and seungmin said that he has always wanted a dog but the fear of losing it one day scared him too much. han wrote this song inspired by that conversation and sent the demo to seungmin who immediately loved it

han writes the most beautiful songs ever and seungmin's voice always fits it so well
seungmin always tries to get han to give him the songs he writes (he tried to get han to give him volcano too but failed that time lol)
han, hyunjin and chan all have dogs but this song isn't about any of them, although hyunjin did write and release a song (miss you) about one of his dogs that sadly passed. lee know also has 3 cats who are literally his children lmao

Lmao! Yes, it's about a dog. I loved your face when you figured it out. Thanks for that laugh. 🤣 This song was written by Han and if I remember correctly it was about Hyunjin's dog Kkami who is very much still alive.
Edited to add more info: Seungmin added an explanation on Instagram. He loves dogs and was talking to Han about how brokenhearted he would be if he had a dog and had to loose him one day. And shortly after that conversation Han came back to Seungmin with this song

I have the same fear as seungmin i love dogs but I'm scared to loose it after being attached but I'm so impressed by how han described like it really happened I thought something happened to his dog but after seeing seungmin insta post together with han i found out that they were talking and seungmin shared han about his feelings towards having a pet so han came up with this song and seungmin loved it

Though to be honest eveb though, the lyrics are literally about a dog or pet, i think the sentiments that Seungmin had (which the song came from) can be applied to real person and human relationships as well
