Hey Biz FUN FACT TO BEGIN 1/9 is Jimmy Page's birthday. He is 77. YES - instrumentation HEAVEN is right every part absolutely takes you somewhere new. Jimmy Page's genius riffs are great example of the trance quality that is so prominent much of their music!! Robert Plant is just wailing on the harmonica. John Bonham is a monster on the drums. John Paul Jones on the bass line is WOW!! The arrangement of this song is just🔥 🔥🔥 and the sonic quality traveling in headphones is 🔥🔥 Yes - it would be great to do the catalog album to album starting with #1. The Mothership that you've taken this song from is a compilation of what the band thought were their best songs at the time it was released in 2007. Page, who is a genius in production as well, remaster the songs for Mothership. ANOTHER FUN FACT - LZ's song is based on a 1930s song by blues singer, player, songwriter Memphis Minnie and Kansas Joe McCoy Here is a link to that original ruclips.net/video/W5VmVvsjyKw/видео.html FINAL FUN FACT - Led Zeppelin rarely performed this live. After LZ broke up in 1980, Page and Plant got together in the mid-90s and toured. They reinterpreted/reimagined a lot of LZ's songs. Here is a live version of Levee from Page and Plant and their band at the time: ruclips.net/video/pIZo-OqRDWI/видео.html PEACE.

This is maybe my favorite Zepp song but Kashmir and others take turns depending on my mood but that drum beat (I saw u smile on those drum fills) and harmonica are SICK! I had requested this as a new sub today on another video, glad you did this one! Hard to top but they have so many flavors which is yours? In my time of dying / No Quarter so many more. This is a greatest hits album or record the individual tracks are spread out over their library. I dunno what people are talking about... This song is from Led Zeppelin IV. As in their fourth album. No need to be mysterious about it. The song is about the bayou getting flooded and wanting to move to Chicago. Or Something along them lines. An old blues rendition, John Bonham's drum beat is the most infamous thing about it.

Obviously a great song but, Bonzo’s drumming takes it to another level 🔥🔥

Bonzo just will leave you speechless he was soooo great! Every Zeppelin song he drove the band to legendary status and Jimmy Page is unbelievable as well. You're right about the musicianship.....the best ever.

Mothership is far from the first album. Mothership was a remaster of some of their most iconic songs. They range from a variety of Zeppelin's 9 albums. For example, Kashmir was from Physical Graffiti album, Whole Lotta Love was on Zeppelin 4. If you wan to really get into Zeppelin, it is a very deep rabbit hole. Be ready for the journey. Each album kind of had it's own sound. Over he course of the 9 albums, they hit many genres of music. Started out Blues heavy, then went rock, got some psychedelia, funk, reggae, and by the end a little pop. Now you need to check some more. No Quarters, Moby Dick, Bring It On Home, Trampled Under Foot, D'yer Maker. Fool In the Rain, Rain Song, Song Remains the Same, Ten Years Gone. These will give you more understanding of their overall talent.

Mothership is a greatest hits album, in case you were wondering. Led Zeppelin is KING.

Mothership is a greatest hits album, released in 2007, many years after the group disbanded due to the death of John "Bonzo" Bonham, the group's drummer. That's why so many songs you've played are on it. The actual album that contains the song "When the Levee Breaks" is from Led Zeppelin 4, sometimes referred to as ZOSO.
