- New Denzel! We got introduced to him when he dropped his last album, "Taboo". Liked what we heard and decided to go back and get familiar with "Imperial" and thought that was dope too. Will be interesting to see how "ZUU" is different.

It's simplistic, but it's still a banger to me.
For me it has this whole vibe that its a turn up song yet im so chill listening to it, idk how to explain it. The lyrics are pretty good and i like the story but at the end of the day its just an aight track. Really nothin stands out to me. They're reactions were my exact reactions to this whole album

some of the bars were a lil corny but keep in mind he free styled the entire album apparently
def just experimenting again with his sound; the homage to the West Coast beats and his bars were more meant for personality rather than a show of lyricism. He can very easily deliver deep and intricate bars like from TABOO and with how close this release was to the last album, nobody should have expected another deep project like that.

RiceeHD you’re right, i think the point is that he more-so misses his hometown and so some are more westcoast since hes moved out there i believe, but the rest is a tribute to his city

@Dennis Reynolds As someone who was a Logic fan BEFORE I became a Denzel Curry fan.......I'd disagree. Logic used to be an extremely talented rapper and I considered him one of the greatest of this generation BUT after EVERYBODY dropped he's never really been the same. Bobby Tarantino II had some good tracks on it but YSIV was pretty underwhelming and Confessions of a Dangerous Mind wasn't good at all. The guy has sadly fallen off at this point.

I wish you could upload content more frequently. 😊 You guys have turned me on to so many artists/projects that I otherwise wouldn't have heard. I honestly enjoy hearing you two on this. My opinion on this album has shifted a bit here and there. At first, it was a "meh" kind of thing. But, I've since re-listened a bit and grew appreciation for it. I usually don't care when a rapper reps where he cut his teeth, but I felt ZUU was a testament to his fundamental Florida years. He's my favorite current dude in the game and this album actually gets more respect from me with each subsequent listen. But, your initial opinions are valid here as well!!!
I prefer TA13OO, but this one is still ambitious in its own way. Hopefully, a revisit will sway you more positively. Haha.
Despite this, I'll still keep tabs on this page and check out other reviews.

I mean the way I see Denzel’s projects. They’re all different, like he has a cause and sticks to it. This one was like a homage, nostalgic type project, made in a short amount of time, freestyled throughout. Not super in-depth like the previous two albums
