    There are various car cooling system de-scaler products out there which do a good job. No need for the home heating type (harder to find here in Canada as few homes use water heating systems). Also, best to use distilled water (easy to get at grocery stores) for making up the diluted antifreeze....that way you are not putting more minerals back into the engine to form the scale again.

    Hi Tom. Is it normal for the offside front wing panel (above the rad essentially) to be quite hot to touch having driven the car for any decent amount of time? Thank you.

      Yes this is quite normal, the fan blows the warm air from the engine bay and through the radiator out towards the wheel, so naturally heat will transfer through that area and collect under the wing. Shouldn’t really get too hot to touch, but if your temps are reading ok, I wouldn’t worry too much

    If you tip a 5lt to the side it won't glug air lol

      I normally do with an oil change, not sure why I didn’t with the coolant unless it was just awkward getting in
