The MDA Labor Day Telethon was an enchanting yearly variety show that ran for half a century. Hosted for many years by Jerry Lewis, the telethon featured top stars from the world of music, comedy, and Broadway and was like no other show on earth.

@@dawhoda1 No, but wouldn’t that be great? I met him once at a “New Cars” show. Well, I really just stood there. My wife shook his hand. He was busy talking to a couple people with him. I wanted to talk, but I just didn’t. I did speak to Elliot Easton and shook his small hand, but I just said stupid things like, “I saw you at the US festival,” and “Can I have that shirt (The shirt he wore for the show, which was on a clothing rack in front of me)?” “Love is the Answer” about saved my life in 1979. I wish I could have told him, and Grand Funk’s “Shinin’ On” is my favorite album. Well enough from this old man! I’m glad that at least YOU replied! Thank you!
