I've got three Pro-G's, two Super Duty's, and two BB1 PRO'S.........all strapped onto Lew's TP1 Speed Sticks in various lengths & actions. LOVE THEM ALL. Because each set-up is used for different tasks, I can't even begin to pick "a favorite" of the 3 different models of these Lew's reels that I own. Been fishing all of them hard for 17 months now, usually twice a week, year round here in central Florida, and I can honestly say I haven't had a single problem or issue with any of them. BEST reels I've ever fished hands down. Long casting, super fluid retrieve and the smoothest & best drag I've ever fished too. Same goes for all my TP1 Speed Sticks. The stated actions are just a tad heavier than what many may desire, but ya get used to them in no time. VERY sensitive IM8 blanks, and I'm spoiled by the Wynn Split Grips. These rods really hold up. Now I know why they used the American Tackle Micro-Wave guides, they are light and sturdy, making these rods extremely light & well balanced for their price range. NO BROKEN OR BENT EYES YET.......after heavy use. The quality of these "mid-priced" rods was much better than I expected & I challenge anyone to slap a better rod on the counter for a hundred bucks. Over the past 40+ years, I've bought & fished the best brands out there, mainly Shimano..........and I wouldn't trade my Lew's reels for anything, regardless of price. Sure, there are "better rods" but they will cost at least twice as much. However, for their price range, there's simply no equal to the TP1 Speed Sticks. I'm a total Lew's fan now. Everything still performs like the day they came out of the box. I don't even wanna try anything else......NO NEED TO!!!
Howabouthetruth I may have already told you since I like and use Lew's, if you like the Mach Crush and go to get one go ahead and get the combo, basically your paying an extra $40 for a custom matched TP1. I love mine, plus with the rebate you get their $50 Buck knife or a hoodie.
I purchased both combos about three months ago knowing I'd be using them once my husband and I had our full covid-19 vaccinations. Starting this week we're FINALLY GOING OUT TO TRY THEM OUT! SOOOO HAPPY! I know they'll be great! My entire fishing combo arsenal (10 combos) is made up of.... drum 🥁 roll.... LEW'S line up of MACH products. For 3 1/2 years they've been FANTASTIC and they've NEVER let me down, not once. 💯💕'em.
I have a Carbon Blue GT and a Laser TXS. I just had to replace my Laser TXS yesterday because the rod tip snapped. No fish, just a small snag on vegetation. I love how easy the TXS is to use though, first bait caster I've been able to sling around one handed with almost no issues.
So I bought the xfinity from Walmart a few months ago. Ive used the heck out of it and its actually a great set up. Im ready for an upgrade and was wondering if this would be much different
All the people that I know that fish professionally all swear by Lew's. When a close friend of mine was practicing before a tournament he invited me to go along. He noticed that I was still using the same exact brand of rod and reel that I used back when I would fish in tournaments he told me to try out some of his rod and reels. I actually liked the way it felt. I had planned on picking some up this year but the virus had other plans. I still haven't even picked up a fishing license yet. By now I would have one for every state around me. When Maryland shut down all boating and fishing that was a real kick to the guts. With that being said I'm sure there will be some excellent bargains out there.
been fishing with the Crush for a year now and that thing just gets better with time. I mean. I have a brand new Tournement Pro and my Crush feels smoother and casts farther. Not saying the TP is a sludge...it's actually getting better with time too. Thats why people that test reels on RUclips, don't give enough time to give a good opinion. I will make a video soon on all my baitcasters. I still have one that needs a little more breaking in.
Both great reels, but very different. The Mach Crush has the bigger, round, WINN grip handles, the TMB has the traditional paddle knobs. Crush is built on the SLP platform which gives it s slightly smaller profile. It also has a graphite frame which will make it slightly lighter. The TMB has a one piece aluminum frame so it will be a little more durable. The TMB is also a little less expensive. It is like comparing a Ford Mustang to a Ford F150, both great vehicles but different.
Tournament mb imo. I wont pay 200$ for a graphite frame combo when you can get the tournament mb and pair it with the Lews hank parker rod which is also an IM8 blank and you'll save 50$
I've had mine for a month and it snapped setting the hook on a bass. A 200 dollar combo should not do that. But reading the comments on RUclips it seems to happen a lot
The Mach 2 is a better rod, it has more whip action in the rod and is a lot more flexible, the Mach 2 is better then the crush, but besides that they are practically the same thing
The Mach Crush has a duel braking system that you can tune to really reduce backlash. All bait cast reels can backlash (even reels that claim they don't), but if you tune it to your comfort level and practice, it will happen less and less.
Great reel. horrible rod. horrible combo. the guides seem to be like two half pieces of metal fused together in the middle causing a raised ridge that chaffs through line like a hot knife through butter. stick with the TP1 Speed Sticks. the combos just aren't worth the the value when it comes to quality. mach crush combo = 200, reel retails for 160. means the rod is 40 ish. straight trash. even the mach rod has trash eye guides.
Spencer Braid lol did I not just say maybe on the earlier models? Lol don't worry about it, I wasn't the one expecting a perfectly identical rod for $40 when the other costs $100, but never have had much of a problem on the cheaper rods with the metal either, what line are you using.
Wow just seeing this out of the box ruclips.net/user/postUgkxQr1yd4Zc6qJF-scTB6Zb9dQbVpviuRxB recommend I have yet to fish with this set up, but based on the first hands on appeal, I can tell this is going to change the way i pack and carry to a whole new level. If you fish like i do, you know the smaller and less stuff the better. I’ve added a photo of just some of my gear so you can see how serious i am about fishing.

The TP1 rod is my go to. for 100 bucks that thing is a STEAL.

Is the Mach also good for saltwater water fishing?
I have been wanting to know too
It’s really made for bass fishing, but I suppose it could be used on smaller salt water fish.
What’s makes this better than the Mach smash baitcaster?

Love my crush !!!
Are this equipment for salt water
No lol
So I’m getting a lews reel and I wanna know which one is best... Lews Mach Crush, or Lews Tournament MB?

Uuuh I literally just bought one. Should I be worried? Heh haven't even used it yet.
You should call the service dept in Springfield MO. They will replace it no problem.
1:46 there was no line coming out
Is it only 7 foot?
Gallaxzy CollideZ yes
karsten gunia
Thank you
The guy in the video casts like it's only his 2nd time fishing.
Which guy
Pole I had snap on me for the very first time was lews speed stick
The Mach 2 is a better rod, it has more whip action in the rod and is a lot more flexible, the Mach 2 is better then the crush, but besides that they are practically the same thing
#Lew's4Life
I Have the review on the Lews pro TI baitcaster. Awesome reel . Swing thru and check it out
Does the bait caster reel have an anti backspin feature
The Mach Crush has a duel braking system that you can tune to really reduce backlash. All bait cast reels can backlash (even reels that claim they don't), but if you tune it to your comfort level and practice, it will happen less and less.
I just had to by 2 of each
How bout these fish have no fight great selling effort

Spencer Braid same guides.
Bass Nazi the mach and mach crush have the same guides yes. Trash. TP1 series ftw.
Maybe on the earlier, I have both and looked again to make sure before I even posted.
Bass Nazi shall I post a picture? Or better, a video?
