    In France snow never melts because it is already at Northern latitudes. Earth is naturally very cold there. But India is more nearer to equator so on average it is warmer. Here it is permanently cold only due to high altitude...otherwise there won't be any snowfall

      I agree with you on Subcontinental weather and conditions however statement about permanent snow in France isn't correct. Firstly it does gets hot in most parts of France during summer times and usually Temps touch 35°c easily, on the other hand in winters arctic vertex grip entire European countries due to which wind Temps usually are below 5°c in sunny days. Interestingly though it does not snow in entire France even during winters but in the northern parts and specially Alps and Pyrenees mountain range.

      Ladakh and Tibet are deserts, as as the hot air / winds flow towards the Northeast, it/they have to flow over mountains, thus the air cools as it goes over higher elevations, and has to dump its moisture. Cold air does not contain as much moisture as hot air. By the time the air makes it to Ladakh and Tibet, it is pretty dry, as it has already dumped most of its moisture in the mountains on the way to Ladakh and Tibet. Thus the lack of snow.

      If there is no himalaya then there would be snowfall over most of the india. Himalaya protect us from most of cold siberian winds. Otherwise except coastal areas, most of the india would have looked like central Asia. And there would have been no mansoon climate and less rainfall due to lack of barrier.

      Mr Girish there is no snow because of lots of traffic n pollution n khardongla is our water source of leh n because of cafe n tourist it's getting dirty. And khardongla is sacred for ladakhi and it's very bad omen to shit n throw garbage there. Before that movie 3 idiots there used to be snow at all the peaks of khardongla 12 months.

There have been cases of fatalities especially in snowfall conditions and administration getting informed after a day or two. If they tally the permits they will come to know if someone is missing or fallen into a gorge.

    Hey Pierre! Glad you're doing fine. The reason behind snow in Europe on lower altitudes is because of our extreme latitudes, that even if its 3000m, we can witness same weather like 4000m in lower latitudes. Latitude and altitude works concordant.

    • @deepanshu5707

      @spade5752 2 года назад +1

      @@alani3992 Kilimanjaro stands at 5,895m, which equals to 19k feet, get your facts checked mate. And the topic is about prolonged snowline in even lower altitudes of Europe when comparing to higher altitudes of any Southern countries, it's because of higher latitude, no one is talking about topography of the place, it's more about geography.

    • @alani3992
      @alani3992 2 года назад

      @@spade5752 Talking about snowline of Kilimajaro at 15K, not the summit.

    • @spade5752
      @spade5752 2 года назад +1

      @@alani3992 you didn't get the point mate. My conversation is revolving around the statement Pierre made about how mountain ranges in Europe retain snow for a longer period even being at lower altitudes than Himalyas. We are not talking about just settled snow here, but their prolonged nature in certain regions of the world, ofcourse we can see extreme sun there and it's a dry desert, but don't you see the snow in front when he is riding the bike towards pass? It's because of higher altitude breaching through the troposphere and being on the leeward side of the sun. Kilimanjaro even being near to the equator breaches the troposphere line, where temperature is extremely freezing, helping it to accumulate snow even when it should not. Now, that wasn't even the topic of concern, it was all about why northern region retains snow for longer period or whole year even if it has lesser altitude,i hope you get more clarity now, I never talked about Ladakh. The phenomenon you're talking about is regional for Ladakh, latitudes and altitudes are global.

    Lower the latitude (towards equator), higher is the snow line altitude. Actually the solar insolation is highest at the tropic of Cancer/Capricorn and not at the equator due to earth's tilt. To the west/south-west of Ladakh(trans-himalaya) you have the greater Himalayas which blocks snow/rain clouds. That's why Ladakh, spiti and Tibet are dry because they are beyond the greater Himalayas. If I am not wrong Ladakh gets most of the precipitation in winter in the form of snow due to the western disturbance which brings in moisture from the Mediterranean, black and Caspian seas. Interestingly, Ladakh has 2 mountain ranges, Himalayas and Karakoram. Karakoram is in the northern part of Ladakh.

  • @tajbarsinghnegi6641
    @tajbarsinghnegi6641 2 года назад +2

    As you are in trans Himalayas i.e. beyond Himalayas, all the air moisture carried by monsoon winds is actually blocked by Himalayas thus trans Himalaya is actually dry region.

Thus the lack of moisture, water & snow.

    Visit rishikesh if you plan to go back Uttrakhand. It's such a nice place to chill and see.

    What was the land route from France to Pakistan? Do you have website where you documented your travel before Pakistan when you started vlogging?

      Ride With Frenchy I am thrilled to get a response from you! I did see you mentioned 15 countries did NOT even ask for your driving licence! Does that mean you travelled through all of them to come here? You also need to watch some Hindi movies and then make a video about yourself and Saliha. It will be blockbuster!

    France is at higher latitude. Ladakh is dry in summers especially and its not as high on the latitude as European nations like france.. but u would see a lot of snow at same height in kashmir coz its more green and its humid
