Mandam WN tandem in the top agrar practical test 2/5

Knife rollers are becoming increasingly popular.
They should be able to shred plants faster than mulchers with less diesel and less wear and tear. But do the rollers come close to the quality of work of a mulcher? And where do they fit? We invited several manufacturers for a comparison test. The requirement for all was a 3 m front-mounted device for use in hardy catch crops (ZF), rape and maize stubble.
The following manufacturers took part in our practical test:
• Kerner, with the X-Cut Solo 300
• Mandam, with the WN Tandem 3.0
• Premium, with the Tandem Terra 300
• Quivogne, with the Gladiator III
• Wallner, with the WTM 300
The companies Fliegl, Horsch and Treffler were also invited, but did not want to provide us with a knife roller for a test.
