Immaculate. The sound of a car is all you need in a video, no stupid descriptions that take away 90% of the video. Here 100% is just pure raw driving. Great job as always!
10-4!
Tenes un monton de canales que solo ponen en sus vídeos el sonido ambiente!!
Tbh I really thought it was a in-line 4, for what ever reason. Didn't know it was a v6 from a dino.
It sounds amazing for a v6.
@@thatfunnykekguy6377 Bro it‘s a Ferrari Dino 246 derived v6 engine!
@@davidacklin4325 Yeah I've already did my research. But for some reason I really thought it was a inline 4.
Props to people still driving these for what they were intended.
If a machine were ever considered "visceral", this would be it. Certainly my favourite car of all. I've been in love with this thing for four and a half decades and I don't see it waning.
Robert Alblas never misses!
That intro was everything
I am a simple man. I see Robert's video, I click like and watch.
What a legend!
I love Lancia and his period group B!
But i love Audi too!
But i love....wtf i love group B!!!
Slippy maybe... You know a road is narrow when a Stratos barely fits on it! Awesome sound.
They are actually wider than you think. I have a group 4 Stratos and it measures around 6.5 feet wide.
Very easily one of the best cars of all time.
This, McRae R4 and GC8, are my top 3.
In fact, my fav car of all time 🥇
Pushing a Stratos in the wet craves some solid balls and you do great work.
There's something about the colour grading of these videos that is absolutely perfect.
man has the secret sauce for sure, that and the audio quality
all videos feel like remastered versions of old onboards at the time
Looks like Kodachrome. Also shot with a proper camera
That 2.4 dino sounds heavenly
Few engines sound better than a screaming Ferrari v6
I still think the best ever sounding 6 was that of the Group A HR31 Skyline. But yes, this one sounds great too!
Watching this with a pair of AKG K700s gave me goosebumps. You're channel is spectacular. The cinematography, the sound production, and the variety of cars you drive is just *chefs kiss*
No electric car can substitute these brutal downshifts. This is pure adrenaline!
This is perfect... An RWD rally car on mountain road
A wet one at that...This guy has stones
@@Piface2099 his stones are the real traction control on that Stratos
Didn't know the original Dino V6 can also sound like an F1! Gorgeous!
It's the 6in1 exhaust, usually Strato's have dual exhausts that sound different.
@@stezz90Yep, and 6-in-1 is especially difficult when you have an engine with two heads!
What an amazing sounding Stratos. Another great video ty.
Another banger video by Robert Alblas. You never disappoint.
This. This is why gasoline engines will never die. The sound, the sensations, the feeling of pure power.
Yeah but when that electric turbine will sent you up in the sky
you might poop in your pants on fire 🔥
I respect these drivers, that car looked like it really wanted to have its back end come whipping around in the wet!
more rally onboards!
It is crazy to see (and I love it) what 50 years old (!) specially builded legendary rally car capable of with modern tyres. I wish to see someday Lancia 037 at this channel... because I knew it but still was amazed by 037 at some Rally Legend when 037 with modern tyres was quick and nimble as rally Porsche GT3 (even more sharp). This amount of mechanical grip by 037 with modern tyres is... just astonishing. I still think that Lancia 037 can compete with Porsche GT3 in nowadays rally with proper pilots, even after 40 years. Well.. just look at this Stratos, even this classic and outdated rally legend is just brutal, even today!
Actual NSFW
6 in 1 exhaust Lancia stratos have a unique sound, so much different from the "standard" twin exhaust. 🤗
i was wondering why that sounded so much higher pitched , amazing difference
Honestly I much prefer the original double exhaust, it just sounds so raw and so good
It seems most Stratos that participate in modern rallys today have the 6 in 1 exhaust, which I find a bit disappointing
@@gian.4388 I just checked last year's good wood and I completely agree. double exhaust sounds way better and gives more character to that beast.
@@gian.4388 Sometimes, sound resrictions mean that the 6-1 has to be used on some of these stages. Although - it still sounds pretty loud...
Such a cool rally stage. The beauty and quaintness of that town cannot be overstated.
This is a typical village in the Belgian Ardennes. Visit for example Dinant. Yvoir, the valley of the Bocq. The whole Ardennes is beautiful. Or on the other side. The Flemish region is also good. Greetings from East Belgium
What a raw machine!
Love these videos and your channel! What year would this car have been made? I can't tell if its 70s or 80s, usually I can tell quickly. I'm not so familiar with Lancia being a North American. Thank you.
Mid-70s, it was made
(Hello, fellow North American)
@@HassanIbrahimRally57 Thank you very much for your reply!
Those are some very brave people. Rain + Stratos + rally = brown pants.
No background music necessary, that engine is the only music I need to hear😊
C'est une mélodie divine
So intense, so pure. Amazing job as usual. If one day you will have 1 mio subs, do not be surprised. You deserve it.
..one angry sounding engine..!!
🤌🤌🤌
Thanks Robert !!!!!!!! Best Job !!!!! PS. Driver Phillippe Olczyk makes good books !!!!!
This isnt Dino Ferrari engine the engine of original Lancia Stratos.
I was hoping that you would end it with a fade out and the sound echoing off into the distance...and you did not disappoint! Excellent!
This is the definition of underrated
What do you mean? I haven't found any other than the highest praise in the comments for this wonderful video. Where/by who is it underrated?
normally Stratos sounds a bit different due to dual exhaust
I never realised how cramped the cabin was in this car. Driver and co-driver literally rubbing shoulders.
back in the day when you had to be a proper driver. Cars without all the traction control, 4wd and all the other driver aids that make the guys these days seem super human, when in actual fact so much of the skill and control required to drive these earlier cars is lost.
*_F O R Z A L A N C I A_* 😍🇮🇹🏁
What a beautiful sound, reminds me a little of the earlier LeMans P1 prototypes. Very good driving on a damp twisty road in a RWD mid engine car.
Bro cooks every time
This is my second video from this channel I have seen…and I cannot believe I didn’t know about them sooner. This is perfect content, gives me vibes of “Faszination” but with all the cool cars
Stratos is always awesome. These guys are crazy. These things getting with it sound amazing at 4:45 in the morning in the city, light but sun isn't fully up yet. Freaks the crap out of folks who are up & out. I remember when these things 1st came out. They were all sold immediately. We tried to get one but no way.
As usual, Robbert ALBLAS is delivering us a very finest car video on Internet…
Plus this model of STRATOS sounds exceptionally well !
What a gift my friends, thank you so much Robbert.
Your videos are a part of the Automotive History.
Such a wonderful car. I'm just not sure my 195 centimeters will fit into it. :)
This machine is absolutely drop dead gorgeous
That driver was very confident. Doesn't look like he's pushing from the cockpit, but you can tell from the flyby's how quick he's really going.
Must either have a lot of experience with the car or just be an experienced driver.
Words can't describe my feeling after watching this video
wonder what it was like at the time when pilots were fearless and had the only objective as if it were the last thing to do in life: win the competition. Be the winner, gain fame and leave your mark in history. everything was much more vital, organic and intuitive than just statistical numbers, computers and having everything under absolute control as things are nowadays. In this golden age of motorsports it was all or nothing. coming in second place was synonymous with failure and the word safety was often in second place. it was deadly and therefore exuded authentic emotion.
It's a shame that the internet didn't exist at back this time because the media in many countries (such like here in Brazil) that were outside this motorsport category didn't broadcast it in their programming schedule. Anyone who wanted to stay in the know would have to import magazines or videos recorded on VHS from friends who lived in those countries.
Anyone who lived through this era knows what I'm talking about. it was another spirit that goes far beyond just a professional career.
Seems like a lot of hesitancy holding the gear for too long, maybe it wasn't gripping quite right, but I doubt that was a quick time. Lovely car and sound though, you've got to love a Lancia.
Ecstasy! One of the best rally cars ever made! This one has a strange front end ,is this a replica? Amazing video!
Questa è una sinfonia, la macchina più bella che l' uomo poteva costruire, la perfezione in assoluto ❤❤❤❤❤❤!!!!
i'm still amazed about the fact that this channel doesn't have that many subscribers because from my point of view these are most definetly the best onboard videos out on the internet, both the driving and the filming (and the editing) are crazy good, bravo!
Somehow I hope - we get a new Lancia Stratos - 4 WD with a big turbo. Looking exactly like the original...
eargasm
Saw a real of this and had to find the full thing, Amazing camera work, the inside shots are just amazing, and the sound work is great, Can I ask what camera you used for the inside and how u stabilized it so well. It’s blowing my mind how well done this is
Absolute legend of a car. Love the longer video too!
The echo of that exhaust through the woods. Good god! The only thing that would make this better is a Michelle Mouton commentary.
Greetings from Italy, amazing work as always, Robbert!
Sounds fantastic!
Not impressed by the driver, though…
That engine is so sharp I can’t believe how zippy it is 🙏🙏 legendary car
I have found my new breakfast sound track! Thank you for a wonderful video!
Beautiful car. Great sound. But what a slow rally. There are moms out there whom will drive their kids to school faster than that.
Chi compra un auto.......elettrica dovrebbe prima vedere questo video 💪
Thank you for perfectly sharing the experience for peasant like me 👍
Holy moly, that car is *angry*! Love it :)
That noise! How do you capture it so beautifully!?
I realize it is wet but this doesn't actually seem that fast. Old cars really don't age well in most cases.
People doesn't know the definition of "onboard" nowadays
Beauty + brutality = Lancia Stratos
I love this car.
Man, I'm surprised that thing turned as well as it did at those speeds on the wet. Impressive.
素晴らしいエキゾーストノートと疾走する風景のマッチングのため見入ってしまいます。
To see how fast it is in the dry, only serves to highlight just how massive the cojones are on the driver.
Rally kart =D Fun fact: Stratos was the only car Walther Rohl was afraid to drive fast.
What is the history of this particular car? Awesome video
Stratos/Dino V6.
What else to ask🇮🇹🇮🇹🙏🙏
0:35 step 1: hear the exhaust note, step 2: repeat.
Such an amazingly realistic video game
This is not rally car....this road version "stradale"
Mufflers? We don’t need no stinking mufflers!
The Stratos is known being really tail happy
Me on my way to get groceries in my corolla (colorized).
Hello, can you please tell which camera do you use inside and outside the car.
This doesn't sound like an original Stratos
Lancia Stratos in the wet...what else do you need?
baby wake up robbert alblas just dropped
Sounds fantastic! Great course!
dude you have the best job in the world
ca a pas l'air facile a dompter cte bestiau😂😂😂😂😂
Sounds similar to 917k
Love that car mini farrari🐎❤🇩🇰
wish it was the whole unedited onboard
Absolutely diabolical course.
Doesn't sound like a Stratos.
I bet that would be a fun car to drive.
Vehicle registration plate- Slovakia-Namestovo? 😮
man you pick the best cars
That thing has a nice pair of headers
Thin driving use that rpm
