There, on that campus, I walked with Chen Duxiu, Hu Shih and Li Dazhao talking about the future of China. I didn't like Hu Shih very much but he was a great person. We had serious political differences, for some reason he ended up living in Taiwan.
Yum! Where was lunch (3:04)? And are you studying economics (First class)? Would love to gain some perspective of english taught economic courses as that I intend to do! Plus, which dorms are they, Shaoyuan or Global Village?
That was at the Nongyuan canteen. The first class was called „Chinese Society and Business Culture“. Really liked it and can recommend it if you wanna learn more about China in general. Didn‘t take any econ courses tho, just comp sci and management. I stayed at Global Village like all the international students :)
really nicely edited! id only ask if you could maybe level out the volume? because your voice is difficult to hear relative to the music (which is quite loud)
Hey man, great video! It really helped me get a better feel for what studying in China, specifically Beijing, would be like! I am interested in applying to PKU and was wondering if you could help me with one question I had. You mentioned in the video that one of your classes was studying Chinese business culture, which led me to believe that it was along the realm of business/international business. Could you tell me what your major is? I would like to pursue a bachelor's in international business/relations in an English course (I have taken Mandarin for years, but I am not fluent enough to take a class in it haha), but have had no luck in finding a course such as that available at PKU. Any information you have would be extremely great. Again, great video!
The course was called "Chinese Society and Business Culture". It could be that it is not offered each semester (I took it during the summer term). It is offered by the Guanghua School of Management. My major is CS (so not related at all), but since I was a general visiting student I could take courses from any faculty. Hope that helps.
@@nikolaimadlenerhello I have a dream to pursue CS major in china especially in university like Peking. I am from Chinese ethnicity but I was born and raised other country. I am not as fluent at people in china, do u think I stand a chance be there, and do u have any suggestion at literally anything?
Moin, cooles Video :) Bin auch dort ab nächster Woche und habe leider kein Zimmer im Global Village bekommen, nach einer Minuter war alles weg. Hast du dies bzgl. irgendwelche Tipps/Erfahrungen?
Lovely! Just keep in mind that PKU is moving it‘s CS departments gradually to the new Changping campus. It‘s a little outside the city with kinda poor public transport. Thus, for CS related degrees, I would also consider Tsinghua. All the best for your future endeavours!
How can I get into the peking Medical University as an international student from Pakistan 🇵🇰 for the Mbbs program Please tell me brother Thanks in advance ❤
How do you apply for the dorm at Peking University since I have a plan for studying Chinese there? How many types of dorms are there that allow for international student, or any recommendations?
I didn't speak any chinese before my exchange and I had an amazing time there. Of course, it will make life way easier if you speak mandarin when going to China, but you can also just pick it up while being there by taking a language course for example. In my opinion, they best way to learn a language is learning it IN the actual country :)

Thanks for the video! I was at 北大 last summer and I recognized a lot of places in your video... Nice memories! Really missed the food there.
Reminds me of my previous days in China. 👍
Lovely! Where have you been? 😃

Thank you a lot, it was wonderful trip to PKU campus. Could you show us PKU health care campus or dormitory ? I would be grateful to you 😉

Besides one beginner chinese language course I just took classes taught in English.

Als Exchange Student ist kein HSK nötig.

At 5:11 .... why are they talking or having a lecture about anti-semitism? Seems rather suspicious.
That lecture was held by stand up comedian Jesse Appell who uses comedy as a tool to fight against antisemitsm and raise awareness about the topic.
