I think we are still capable of making good songs like this. Believe it or not you got a lot of millenials liking more or the 80s music more than ever. Take for instance the two twin brothers Tim and Fred williams listening to Phil Collins In The Air Tonight. And I think that they are starting to realize that there's got to be more substance in the music than just a beat, rythm and words.

In 80's i knew Steve Miller Band for "The Joker" "Jet Airliner" "Fly like an eagle" etc. etc. and i did not think this song (heard me too on Miami Vice) was of SMB. Nice surprise.
Well here's the thing this was not a big selling album it didn't get a lot of hits he would give one more really awesome one in 1991 with wide river. And then he would sort of release a whole bunch more but the very little fanfare I'm afraid but he's still tours when he does and packs it in.
At least here in Pittsburgh, this song got very little playtime. It shot up the charts, but abracadabra, it vanished. Weird but true. I never saw such a great song disappear so quickly. Until today, I have not heard this song since. And, I listen to a pantload of classic rock. Epic tune.
