    I permanently left my home state of California in 2003..I was born and raised in SoCal.. It was sad to see my home state becoming what it is today. I had to go .I too, left in 2003 with a young child..🙏 I'm praying that my next move is to Calabria 🙏

    Absolutely spot on! I'm from Michigan and am very concerned with the state of the United States. We are currently in Calabria looking for a vacation home. I have family in Reggio Calabria and look forward to diving into the culture, food and lifestyle.

    Thank you for this Lilly... totally agree with all your points. My son is working on getting a Digital Nomad Visa and moving to Italy with his wife and kids. He has a great job and works remotely... he can renue the Visa yearly.
    In the meantime my husband and I will be retiring soon and moving to Calabria, where we already have a little place. We all live in California, but as you stated although it is beautiful, there are too many reasons not to stay... our little place in Calabria has a gorgeous sea view, walking distance to Everything you need. The quality of life in Italy can not be beat in my humble opinion 🤍✨️🤍

    Brilliant content, Lilly! You're ahead of the curve, I've been seriously considering leaving California for the first time ever. I've heard of Americans going to Italy and eating tons of pasta and high calorie foods for weeks and losing weight. The food in America is poison and why Americans are obese.

    • @CalabriaDreaming
      @CalabriaDreaming  8 месяцев назад +5

      Yes it’s true! The wheat here isn’t sprayed with shit so you can eat your heart out and still loose weight. It’s awesome. You should definitely do it

      @CalabriaDreaming absolutely 💯 there's multiple pictures 📸 and videos online of Americans at beaches in the 60s 70s, and everyone is fit and thin. Obviously, before the gmo and high fructose corn 🌽 syrup and glyophosphates and roundup in our food.

    Lilly, You hit the target 🎯 with this video. Unless we missed it, was there any mention of the humanitarian crisis of the Homeless, Border Crisis , Fentanyl crisis , Child/Human Trafficking, Crime (Grab & Go’s), Continual other cost of living (Utilities, Home/Auto Insurance, Dining out etc.) The Golden state is becoming the Tarnished State. 🙏🇺🇸🥰🇮🇹✈️

    When I was younger, I dreamed of becoming a Hollywood actor and living the good life in Los Angeles. We all know that the myth of LA and California in general comes from movies and TV shows. However, I still believe it's a fantastic place worth visiting. But, as you said, not all that glitters is gold ( non è tutto oro quel che luccica). The cost of living is very high there, and it's really sad to see thousands of homeless people on every street corner.

      Yes that homeless situation is so hard to live with especially with kids. Like how do you explain it.

      Been wanting to get a place there since 2 years ago but no rush. Plan to live in Italia for 3 months then do the Schengen Shuffle and living the nomadic life. Eventually will get a visa to stay longer. I do not like Los Angeles one bit - the wokeness ughh. Plan to sell my house this year and buy a smaller place in a red state somewhere in the east coast ( closer to Italia ) as I gotta have a base here in the USA. I love Calabria - will look at Scilla. Looked at Scalea and made few offers there but nada. Some agents are just greedy. Will look near Palermo or maybe will look in the Basilicata Region. Hope to run into you one day and have an aperitivo or a cafe 😊.
