its rare to see an asian american drummer in a funkcore band but Alex as the drummer for nickleback is the best black drummer in metal since 2014. Dem forearms.
I'm American thank you. Took German for three years in high school though! Looks like you incorrectly stereotyped me because my great grandfather was German. It's just that your comment was so unapparently sarcastic and not funny I had to put my two cents in the form of one word "no" to which you extrapolated that I'm German and have no sense of humor. Sweet. So, how is it have Bruce Lee as a father?
apatheticautopsy Glad you're liking the drum sounds. I can assure you all that Alex tunes his kit, including snare, extremely well. Moongel is necessary when playing at these speeds to keep articulation especially during the blast beats - without any muffling the ringiness would get out of control.
Man I said it and I'll say it again, his best most extreme covers are Faceless songs and the ones I enjoy the most. No wonder Xenochrist is the one that has more views out of all his videos!
I love your videos. I love learning faceless songs on my guitar all the time so i completely understand why you have so much fun still covering them and posting these videos.
Holy shit, Alex, as someone who still thinks Akeldama is one of the best albums he's ever heard, I cant tell you how awesome it is to see you do this. Can you do more play throughs of older Faceless songs? I'd lose my shit over a Leica play through.
wow you can really hear how early born of osiris was influenced a lot by the faceless in this song (I don't listen to the faceless at all and although I've heard other people/critics make this conclusion, right now is the first I've actually heard it myself). Awesome drumming as usual, man!!
Fuck yeah bro! Thanks for doing a play-through of this! And special thanks for using the instrumental version! This is the first time I've heard this without vocals.
So happy to finally have you play this classic! Always wanted to see how it was played note for note. Not to be that greedy random fan... But it be REALLY cool if you covered Lecia!!
I love your new drum kit, it's perfect. Especially the double pedal in black. The bass sounds much more powerful than your old battery is incredible as it sounds is a machine gun !!! And thanks alot for sharing!
I like how this sounds like nothing was eq'd or anything. The sounds are good but it's raw, and it shows just how precise you still are in just one take. Phenomenal.
Always the best covers...Darn I miss The Faceless so much. Michael pliss, I recovered from Opiate addiction after 20 years shooting up. It will be a hell of a waste if you go out without getting the help you need and come out with another Faceless album
I'm sure you've gotten even better, faster, creative, sophisticated, efficient, whatever, but your older stuff sounds just as lovely and flawless as anything recent I've heard of you, you fckn behemoth of a drummer. Always a pleasure seeing you play.
I'm so upset I didn't see him mouth "SEVER THE SKULL" before the breakdown. You broke my heart Alex, you broke my heart. Seriously though, every one of your performances is so awesome, sounds so amazing when you have half of top secret audio producing your drums as well :)
No he doesn't. He's done an Animals As Leaders cover, and just a couple days ago he did a Periphery cover, granted he transcribed the drum parts for Matt Halperns book.
Thanks to you Alex I have quit drumming and I've currently taken up knitting.
Same
I need a scarf
Practice more boyz
Man can probably knit better then too 🤣
😂😂😂😂

M Lee no....
Michael Muller
you took at as an absolute literal statement no sense of humour can tell you are German.

+Michael Muller jesus christ it's even worse than I anticipated
Your kit has never sounded so fantastic. Especially the snare!!
I think it's both, Nolly is a WIZARD. Plus I'm a Tama user myself, so I'm a little biased.
Not talking shit but you know he has 3 moongels on the snare right? You can tune the snare horrible and 3 moongels would make it sound phenomenal

apatheticautopsy it looks like 1 moon jell split into 3 peices
lol this isn't his kit, its a friends, but yeah his snare is amzing
This tune is so well written. Normal people don't understand
We’re the normal ones.
Bro I've been listening to this song for most of my life and even I don't understand this shit
Amazing, Leica would be a awesome drum cover to see too!
Simply brilliant in every possible sense.
Dude I’m so glad you’re sharing yourself with the faceless . I’ve checked out all your stuff and it’s so flawless . Enjoy your successes Dude.
I want to see more!! Can't get enough!! True inspiration!
That's pure speed on chain drives - no triggers, swivel technique, longboards rebound, etc. - just straight up getting after it :)
There is trigger here, isn’t there? The 2box brain is in nearly every shot.
Dude yes! This was defiantly worth the wait.
Alex is a awesome drummer, not only one of the best of them but he has some of the most change-ups i have ever witnessed
That was really entertaining to watch man, thanks for that! Mad skills.
Man I said it and I'll say it again, his best most extreme covers are Faceless songs and the ones I enjoy the most. No wonder Xenochrist is the one that has more views out of all his videos!
Still one of the most underrated drummers out there. I'm just waiting for people to see just how talented Alex is.
Well, he sure isn't underrated these days. Easily one of the best metal drummers ever.
My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE FACELESS SONG! I love that you decided to do this track.
Unbelievable skill. So creative. Favorite metal drumer for sometime now \m/
Simon Drums Lyle cooper is better imo

I love your videos. I love learning faceless songs on my guitar all the time so i completely understand why you have so much fun still covering them and posting these videos.
omfg, my new favorite track. keep it up.!

insane as always Alex!!!
Thumbs up if you want to hear "Planet Duality" :D
Mr Dee so you just go on every drum cover alex has done by the faceless and comment thumbs up if you want to hear planet(ary) duality?
@@user-id2dx4qd6j it's super necessary
Kickass drumming as usual, and nice professional video intro, Sean Curry did good.
Killer setup, Alex. Good to see everything is going well with Tama.
cant wait for new videos, this is GREAT
wow you can really hear how early born of osiris was influenced a lot by the faceless in this song (I don't listen to the faceless at all and although I've heard other people/critics make this conclusion, right now is the first I've actually heard it myself).

Holy shit! The snare sound changes everything
Fuck yeah bro! Thanks for doing a play-through of this! And special thanks for using the instrumental version! This is the first time I've heard this without vocals.
Spot on as always. You're one of the great metal drummers by now I would think.
love the new intro bro and of course amazing work as always. this song seems particularly intense among the faceless catalog. so sick
Phenomenal cover. I wish The Faceless still made music like this.
probably the best sounding kit imo
So happy to finally have you play this classic! Always wanted to see how it was played note for note. Not to be that greedy random fan... But it be REALLY cool if you covered Lecia!!
I love your new drum kit, it's perfect. Especially the double pedal in black. The bass sounds much more powerful than your old battery is incredible as it sounds is a machine gun !!! And thanks alot for sharing!
A snazzy new haircut, and sick as hell drumming, what more could you ask for?
Best blasts and best bass ever! You are a god
I like how this sounds like nothing was eq'd or anything. The sounds are good but it's raw, and it shows just how precise you still are in just one take. Phenomenal.
That Tama kit sounds killer!!!
Always the best covers...Darn I miss The Faceless so much. Michael pliss, I recovered from Opiate addiction after 20 years shooting up. It will be a hell of a waste if you go out without getting the help you need and come out with another Faceless album
Nice intro and awesome playthrough.
Man I didn't think anyone would be able to cover this song. Good job man!
Best sound you've had for a playthrough IMO. Sick stuff!
Pestilence next please! This was wonderful!

man, that was awesome!
I'm sure you've gotten even better, faster, creative, sophisticated, efficient, whatever, but your older stuff sounds just as lovely and flawless as anything recent I've heard of you, you fckn behemoth of a drummer. Always a pleasure seeing you play.
Great stuff as always!

I got to see you in Minnesota for the slaughter tour and you guys were amazing.

That was absolutely flawless and incredible!! Please do Leica soon :)
YES.
Cant wait for more bro!!!!!
I'm so upset I didn't see him mouth "SEVER THE SKULL" before the breakdown. You broke my heart Alex, you broke my heart.
Seriously though, every one of your performances is so awesome, sounds so amazing when you have half of top secret audio producing your drums as well :)
Smashing performance! Bravo, I say. This chap along with a few other bipedal humans give me hope for the future of music.
Thats crazy, if only I could do double bass that fast
practise ! more and more ^^
it takes a lot of effort, and a lot of time
Well said 59nightmare59 this guy is amaZing I wish a could too
It also has to do with using triggers. That way, you can play very lightly and fast, while still producing loud kick sounds.
Caleb Molenda triggers doesn't make it easier to play drums at all. You hear mistakes more actually. I heard none here, so he must really be precise.
You're right, those drums are poppin'!
When are you going to do The Ancient Covenant?
It's next on my list ;)
Alex Rüdinger Awesome. Looking forward for it.
Don't look that way anymore!!
Alex Rüdinger ahem.... taps foot impatiently*
Alex Rüdinger Still waiting!! If you need more time just let us know lol just kidding, you rock bro, regards from Mexico!!!!!!

Alex is an unstoppable force!!
Dude, you're fucking drummer, just incredible.
This is amazing!
Beyond Creation covers, please!
No he doesn't. He's done an Animals As Leaders cover, and just a couple days ago he did a Periphery cover, granted he transcribed the drum parts for Matt Halperns book.
