Thanks to i0ki I learned that "the secret to winning every game as Pyke" is to have competent teammates who can work around your missplays.

Neeko is making me take much more notice of different champions / non-champion's attack animations, most importantly their attack windups and specific interactions. For example, caster minions do have the range advantage over melee minions (obviously), but their attack windup and projectile are super slow. This actually CAN be an advantage for delaying on-hit effects like Fleet Footwork, Grasp, Her empowered attack, etc, .. you can send the attack then move before it hits the enemy, which would normally give you away, but with the delay you can actually use that time to blend back in. On the other hand, melee minions have a faster attack, so you can eat through minions a lot faster and the enemy probably wont even notice that you're there. You can also just walk up and start attacking the enemy champion while a minion because most players don't even take notice. You can get way more hits in than you expect. As for champions though, she does get additional range by disguising herself as Cait, and just playing double-Cait bot is genuinely oppressive, especially if you just build her like a marksman with, and yes that does include buying crit / AD, but AP is always going to be helpful. Another interesting note is that ammo systems don't matter to her. Jhin still has a slower attack windup / animation, but he does not reload after 4 shots. Neeko will have whichever gun Aphelios has. She does get the extra range from the Calibrum, she does not get the lifesteal from Severum or the slow from Gravitum, She does have the AOE visual from Infernum, but will only damage the target and not anything behind, and she does get the psudo attack speed from attacking targets from closer range with Crescendum. Again, she doesn't have any ammo, so as long as she doesn't switch off of Aphelios while holding her favorite gun, she can keep it. I haven't played her with a Graves yet, but I imagine that she would not have his ammo system either. I haven't tried Kalista yet either, but I am sure her passive would also not be applied. Still testing. I think I love her, ngl. Getting kills as minions is my favorite thing ever.

what are your thoughts on death's dance on pyke for the lategame? I've found playing him a bunch in aram that it helps a lot to help him from getting bursted by everyone once they get their items up
deaths dance is a great item for more sustain on pyke but it actually has great synergy with your runes and items. If you go triumph duskblade deaths dance you heal so much off of one execute if you fistfight and take some damage. Executing someone with immediately trigger duskblade invisibility which starts healing the grey health you built up during the fight, triumph heals you for more and deaths dance heals you more on top of that because of its damage pool and damage over time passive. To be completely honest I think its better to go lethality items first (duskblade1 youmuus2 axiom3 or umbral30 into deaths dance but that might just be me

no ioki pyke ult doesnt have to hit a target that's why you can miss it (around 16 min in vid)
It has to hit a target to move you and have it be used as an escape tho
30:24 you describe pyke so well man... sooooo well. Wasn't his last buff E dmg or something? Who was like you know what's making pyke bad.. his E that will fix him all good now, no one ever. My question to you tho do you think he needs a buff/nerf or something changed? I had hope for the infinite scailing ult with like minions or executes or something but as you know they scrapped it, any ideas to make the champ any different?
He cant gain HP with items. He is trash late game

The thing with pyke is that either ull go S+ or D- . There is no in between. Totally agree with what you said . You have to break your fingers to do things that you can do with other champs with one hand . Countered by everything,not so much dmg,not so much def. Only from lvl 1-3.
When I hear someone saying that pyke is op I'm pretty sure they have never played him .
I play this game only cause I have fun with this champ , something more fun than thresh at last, unfortunately though,it's a flip coin if u gonna win or lose

Liked the gameplay but there was no need to get snarky with the viewer that suggested ult to run away despite not playing the game. If the content is framed a educational you could've just explained how good ult works and why that wouldn't work instead of being toxic
