Thanks Matt, I too was looking for a heads up on operational controls. You just put my mind to ease. Thanks, again. I can do this now after watching your video.
Man, that video is awesome 👌 👏 you did a phenomenal job showing the controls and the demonstration was on point. Thank you very much I feel more confident on renting one.
Thanks. Comments like this is one reason why I do these videos. I’m glad this helps you with your choice. This machine is very easy to run but I would recommend a full sized track loader over this machine if you have any large amount of material to move. This thing will wear you out but it gets into tight spaces and is less intimidating than a larger machine. Thanks again for watching.
I purchased a set of Premier 48” forks and a 48” X 5” trencher, had Premiere had to make it not even Vermeer has a 48” trencher. That way I can run a gas line and power cable in one trench legally. Premier also makes a great FrintHoe backhoe attachment, I use this to install Generac Residential Generators and Commercial units also. Yep, it’s expensive, but in the long run saves both time and money, including your Bach.
Where the forward lift arms mount close to the side engine covers there are no water drain holes. It will rust, unless you drill a small hole in each side then use Vermeer touvh-up paint to keep it from rusting. No more filling up with water.
how you liking your ctx? still use it/ worth it? its now 52k so would love your insight ! ever have problems with stability ?what are the must have attachments you recommend ? anything we should know after getting acquainted with it? thanks matt!
I wasn't mine I was just doing video with it! I would not use the backhoe attachment as it can flip the machine. After owning a real skid steer I wouldn't ever buy a mini unless I needed it for tight spaces or landscaping stuff where a full size wouldn't be convenient.
Notice his 2 fuel tanks do not come with locking diesel fuel caps. When I received my CTX100 it cam the same way. Look in the factory parts manual that came with your CTX100, it only shows LOCKING FUEL CALS. Ipointed this out to my Vermeer Dealer after I purchased two locking caps, they promptly refunded my money for those caps about $75.00 total.
I never run mine past idle unless I’m running a trencher, then it’s at 2000 or so rpms. Vermeer trenchers are hydraulic only, no planetary gearbox, Blue Diamond and Premiere both use gearboxes, they power through rock a whole lot better than just a hydraulic drive only. I was allowed to use a Vermeer 42” Trencher while my 48” trencher was being built. I’m glad I waited. Planetary Gear Ststem increases torque on the chain system tremendously. For me, the only way to go.
Hydraulic failure is real... You should never stand under the boom..... Maybe as an everyday practice setup the chains so you can operate the chain binder without being under the arm. Great machine! I have the smaller S450TX gas model and love it... that is a beast compared to mine but mine is still very capable.
Also check out my latest video I wired up a LED light bar to the front of mine.... Maybe a consideration for you for night work. Cost me $38 total done nicely
If you have a problem with your CTX100 not wanting to move or lift anything, look at the platform switch, two silver bolts on the forward right side. Those can be adjusted to work correctly, mycame loose, I readjusted both bolts, torqued and painted the bollt heads with black paint. That way I can see if they every get loose again.
No need to pull quick attach levers up, if you have them greased like your supposed to all you need to do is turn them 180 degrees to lock or unlock, Turing them pulls or pushes pins automatically.
Better check the hp. Look of the valve voter it’s stated in kW convert it to actual ho it’s comes out to 25hp at idle, 52hp at 2600 rpm. Kohler rates it at 56 horse power. Vermeer screwed up the hp ratings, neverconverrted kW in Europe to HP for America.
Thank you SO MUCH for this video! WAY better than all of the Vermeer company tutorials. Thank you!
Thats awesome you found it. Im glad i was able to help. Thanks 🙏

Presumeably, these Mini Skids implement the same "Type" Hydro Static Drive like a Big guy Cat for example? Pilot pressure or Electric controls?
All are Direct drive as well? No engine belts for example like some old machines?
Im really not sure about all that. Thanks for the info.

Cool. I will check out that brand. It would be cool to have a tooth bucket also. The smooth one is a little challenging to cut with.

f143744. Wow I didn’t know that. It’s always kept inside unless it rains in a job

Nice video, very thorough!!
Bill Goins Thank you very much. I’m glad you got something out of this video. !
@@MattFreytag absolutely! I'm considering a Vermeer mini to expand my business.
Bill Goins Nice. What is your biz

Cool that’s good to know. I haven’t used any attachments yet.

For sure. Good idea. Always better to be safe than sorry.

These need to be greased. They are a little tough to turn.
Who is the manufacturer of the forks they look to be very well made.
simon stevens I am not sure the brand we bought them at the Vermeer Heartland dealership in Knoxville TN from Justin
I take mine through crawl space door to level crawl space.
Cool man.

This machine is not made for people that actually work for a living...
Not really sure what you mean but ok that’s cool.
Matt you gota take maybe a .05 second break between your words man because you sound like you got issues.
baka baka Only the ‘Weak’ take breaks. No time for that.
